That’s a temp change! Nice to see it’s brief and will warm up quickly.

Here it’s 24 with skies that look like we will see some sunshine today. Winter storm advisory starting tonight with 2-6” of snow forecast. Then stormy the rest of the week.

Today my wife is meeting a friend for breakfast so I’ll be home on dog duty. Looks like a good day to get them outside for some canine romping.

its been raining on and off all morning but I've yet to see a puddle ... the temp has been dropping slowly but steadily from the mid 60's during the mid morning to the upper 50's shortly after lunch .... not much wind .... first up this morning was a medical appointment with an ENT doctor .... the second medical appointment was with an Orthopedist .... we live due south of Raleigh, the first appointment was northwest of Raleigh, the second was southwest of Raleigh .... in short, considerable driving over wet roads in heavy traffic .... we are now back home, its still wet and dreary outside

the wind finally went down and the dust storm is over, so we leave today for
Casas Grande, Az. It's been a good visit even with the dust storm. My old friend
was very gracious and we had a really good time with him.

Woke up to 33 and a couple inches of fresh wet heavy snow. Now it has turned to rain. We are expecting some winds today 20-30 so it will be a miserable day to be outside. I’ll head out here shortly to move the snow off the concrete and let ma nature take care of the rest. Our local mountains are getting hammered with snow measured in feet not inches. Love that, build that low snow pack!

Stormy the rest of the week but next week is looking like we may see some sun but that will bring colder temps with lows in the low 20’s and high’s in the upper 30’s.

its a shorts and sandals day !!!!!!! ....already up to 63 on its way to 74 later today .... strong chance of thunderstorms late this afternoon .... sadly, tomorrow we need to once again pack up the shorts and sandals, projected high in the low 50's .... this morning we plan to process the hamburgers we froze a few days ago and get ready to process a bunch of sausage ... Maureen has a PM medical appointment

Earlier this week I was looking at homes in Casa Grande but once again talked myself out of relocating .

Here in the Inland Pacific Northwest it’s nearly the same temp as Casa Grande @44. But we’re in a warm spell and next week we’ll be back to frost causing temps. But unlike Casa Grande our temp is supposed to go down all day hitting the mid 30’s by nightfall. Windy today and more rain expected. Then snow on Saturday.

My wife’s Explorer needs rear brakes so we will be dropping it off at a Spokane shop long known for being very honest. Called Golden Rule Brakes so it’s gotta be, right? Nearly 65k miles on the Explorer and this is the first service other than routine maintenance we have had to do. And really, brakes are kind of a routine service themselves.

I left Washington a few years ago and am glad I did. It’s more to my liking here in Wisconsin.

its been a really good day ... first thing this morning we drove over and picked up ground pork for making our first run of sausage; as well as, a bushel of fresh oysters in the shell ....the pork is in our camper frig awaiting tomorrow's epic transformation .... the husband of a couple we've known and been close friends for 50 some years is in declining health ..... he's confined to a wheel chair and they don't get out too often .... they really enjoy steamed oysters so we picked up a bushel .... in packing a cooler, oyster cleaning basket, oyster steamer pot with oyster knives - gloves - and trays, our propane camping stove, 10lb propane tank, tank to stove hoses and other relate stuff, I learned that it pretty well fills the luggage area of Maureen's Blazer .... the hours we spent there passed all toooo quickly .... the high today was 56 under a mostly cloudy sky and its supposed to fall to 36 tonight

Sigh!

Here it’s 32 with a thin overcast with a high in the upper 30’s. Rain/snow coming in later. Yesterday was one of those days with rain/snow/graupel/wind, yeah a typical late February day in the inland northwest. So we decided to go to the Jeep dealer and spend time outside in this crap looking at a Jeep. We have been keeping our eye on this 2021 Sahara model so we tried the old last day of the month trick. Don’t know if that helped especially on a used model. But while in the negotiating process the sales kid, yep a kid just starting out, brought out the big gun (Sales Mgr). My wife asked him how far he would discount it from their asking price and he said, “hundreds but not thousands”. So my wife offered him “fifteen hundreds” and he accepted it.

I’ll post more later but next up is to get it set up for towing.

Congrats on the new wheels Mike! Love the color! I am finally getting the damage on the Tundra fixed (15 months waiting on a door), and have a 2024 4Runner on order for my wife. She doesn’t know it yet, but has been wanting one for a while. Tundra will be traded in once it’s fixed.

cloudy with light rain last night when we went to bed .... cloudy with light rain this morning when we got up .... sometime between the bottom fell out leaving standing water in every low spot .... 54 on its way to 68 and they say the last of the falling rain is moving out rapidly .... this morning we hope to make some sausage .... this afternoon and evening will be spent watching ACC basketball

Well hello again Mr. Winter. We were put under a winter weather advisory for 1-4” of snow and yep, it’s coming down hard. About an inch so far. 32 with a high in the mid 30’s expected. Hope it gets warmer and melts this white shite away.

Somehow I let myself get talked into going to the Republican Spokane County Convention today. I went to the precinct caucus a month ago and this is my first time being involved with this process. My neighbor is our elected county clerk and he roped us into this. My wife was going but our other neighbor lady who was going to look after our dogs can’t do it. Her husband took a bad fall Thursday night and spent the night in the ER. He has a concussion and is still suffering. Mid 70’s so that’s not good. So I’m going alone.
