3. TN gun owners, Walther, Henry. Probably 98% on here, the best of the 3.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Many over the last two decades. Currently one. I only watch the news about once a month and then catch up on the world.

I don’t like reading about Rome is falling, Rome is falling, Rome is falling. I want to read Rome fell.

This is my safe haven where I come to escape the world. Where else can I go and not be bombarded with politics?

One for the motorcycle, three for various guns, one for financial discussions, two for car repair info.
I mostly just lurk on them.

A second on the flip phone. I tell everyone no text, I don't do it I don't want it and if it isn't worth a call or voice mail then don't bother. When we still had the land line, someone tried to text me on it.
I had only the stupid phone until we moved to OK and I finally had to give up the Verizon Contract I held on to for three decades. It was a government contract, and they couldn't cancel it or raise the rates as long as I didn't upgrade voluntarily. They bumped my phones to minimums as my old ones became obsolete, but I never wanted a smart phone anyway.

My contract had unlimited text, talk, free long distance. I didn't text much. The s
Wife would text me every night while I was on patrol when the kids went down, and before she went to bed. When they upgraded to (crappy) camera phones, I never used it.

In the end, I came to like short texts vs. calls. i.e.
Stop for bread and milk OTWH.
Kids down, homework done. Pta tomorrow
Etc.

Then the camera became my best friend.
Get a texted shopping list, if you aren't sure about an item, send a pic.
"This one with the red label?"
"No, blue label on the right"

In walmart one day, had two mops laying side by side on the floor snapping a pic.
Hit send...

Old man behind me says, "You got a mop fetish, or what big boy?"
"What I have is a forty five minute drive home."
Phone chirps...
I look at the reply, put one mop in the cart, the other back.
"I ain't bringing nuthin back."
:)

We had to get rid of the land line as it cost us more than our two flip phones with unlimited minutes. I had the land number for 40 years but since I retired I really don't miss it and cable TV went too many $$$ so put up an antenna and get as good or better picture.

Cells won't work reliably out where we are, and with the weak signals due to tower locations and topography, none will work in the house with the metal roof. We have to have the land line. We had not planned to get one.

I also have no cell signal inside and only a couple of bars outside but have very dependable fiber internet so I use wi-fi calling. Got to the point that I was only getting spam calls on my landline so I dropped it.

Have you heard of the latest scam? Recorded voice says they've seen suspicious activity on your bank account and that an arrest warrant has been issued for you, push 1 for more info. Decided to screw with them so pushed 1, when the guy answered I acted panicked and asked what do I have to do to cancel the arrest warrant. He says (with a heavy Indian accent) send us $6000. I said I can't afford that, I'm home, send the cops to arrest me and hung up.

Still waiting.

It was almost as good as one of the calls from MicroSoft telling me that my computer had notified them that it needed on-line repair, I kept the Indian guy on the phone for quite awhile and then said I would send them the money if he'd get Bill on the line to tell me it was legit. "Bill, Bill who? Why Bill Gates of course" He actually put another guy on the line who said "this is Bill Gates" I said I've heard Bill Gates on TV and you don't sound anything like him, this must be a scam and hung up. At least I wasted 15 minutes of their time and it was kind of fun but I still get similar calls.

What's sad is there are people out there that fall for these scams.

There was one recently where you got a call from "Social Security" saying there was a problem and you wouldn't get your next payment unless you gave them your SS# and Bank Acct. #. Local paper had an article saying that several locals had fallen for it.

These scams are un-believable, but are really nothing that new. It's just on a wide-spread scale now. Back in the 80's I got a call from a guy that told me I won some money but I needed to to pay the tax on it up front first. I told him to just take it out of my winnings, lol. That was the first one ever. Second one still back in the 80's I got a call from a girl who named off 3 prizes and that I was guaranteed one of them. One was a car and she gave me a choice of 3 colors. I told her to pick, lol. She then told me I won a trip to Florida, I just needed to buy some luggage in order to obtain my prize. She then said will that be Master Charge or Visa? I told her this call has gone on long enough and she pretended like she was insulted.

What's really too bad is that they pick on the weakest. Older more gullible people or ones with early signs of memory loss. Most of them probably poor as heck to boot. These scammers need to be locked up with the key thrown away.

The car repair insurance is the one that goes on a lot in my part of Florida. I have a friend who was a nuke submarine skipper. When they called to sell him the "auto repair protection" he pushed all of the number keys to talk to a real person . They took all of his vehicle info and then after several minutes he fessed up that it had over 200K on it. He is not bothered by those calls anymore.

Im the same it would have to be 20 plus but never active on more than 4 or 5 at any time.
Only just started posting a bit on marlin owners for the first time in a few years a month or so back.
A few car forums I have joined for the info available, havent been on cast boolits for ages but used to be a regular. I find myself drifting between different forums as my interests change. When I was shooting a lot of pistol at regional and state comps I found myself on target talk quite a bit, when I am doing a bit of gold prospecting I find myself on one of the prospecting forums regularly. If I am running a trap line I find myself on one of the hunting forums with a great trapping subsection.

Birthday is always interesting as a lot of forums send a happy birthday email, often I have forgotten I am even a member
