I spent a sleepless night in the hospital and am set to go home. They're going to leave this dern Foley in for a week. Pain level at about 6-7 but I can stand that. It hurts most when I have to twist my body to get up from the gurney. Or if I get a gas bubble.

Update. I had a fever spike after 3 hours at home and am back in the hospital. They're keeping me overnight. We were getting supper together when my fever showed up. I'm so hungry.

I’m saying prayers for you. I’m in the camp that it’s better to address than “leaving it and keeping an eye out for trouble”.

Not entirely uncommon. Sure they would rather just have you in the safest place to monitor. Keep your chin up.
