OK, so Chiefs/49ers. Should be a good game but the Chiefs are playing so well and with such confidence I give them the edge. Chiefs are like LSU - who can beat them?? 49ers are solid and good, but not great, in all aspects of the team. Very balanced. BUT, I give the edge to the Chiefs.

My fearless prediction: Chiefs 30, 49ers 27.

Coming from A Dallas fan, I'll have to pull for the Chiefs, nothing against the '9ers, but really like Mahomes 7 Andy Reid. Should be a great game to watch. Won't lose many winks either way.

When it's not my favorite team, ( Panthers ) then I usually go with the underdog. Don't yet know the odds, but have to go with the Chiefs. 9ers have had many opportunities and it has been 50 years I think since the Chiefs won the big one.
I must say, I too was a Dallas fan for much of my life. I was born in Texas.

Agree, except for the taunting by Mahomes on the last play. Very un-sportsman like.

I reiterate the above, not to mention a bogus PI call midway through the 4th qtr.
Did not really have a favorite to root for on this one...just calling it as I saw it.

Called on the Niners in the end zone. Defender didn't even touch him. His body was just a shield. No contact, which resulted in the Chiefs on the one yard line.

I started watching, actually pulling for KC, however, that changed as the game progressed. Punctuated by Mahomes last play.

So I was off by a bit but pretty close. Chiefs just seem to be able to get it going when they need to. Pretty good game altogether. Congrats to the Chiefs for winning, and congrats to the 49ers for a fantastic season.

Didn't see the taunt. That PI penalty will get called every time a play unfolds that way (Al is right). Gotta love Andy Reid and that he finally won the "big one."

As someone who played organized football for nearly 10 years (including a year of college ball) and as someone who has suffered with the Chiefs for the past 50 years, it was excruciating to watch. Just a bundle of nervous energy. Until the magical 7 minutes or so in the fourth quarter, and then it all looked and felt so familiar.

Mahomes is as down-to-earth and humble as they come for a wunderkid, so give him some space. After all, what were we all doing when we were 24?

Hey Evan!
Good to hear from you!
I was pulling for KS because of you guys in that area. Just didn't like it on the last play when Mahomes, instead of just taking a knee, acted like he was going to make a play....Anyway, congrats on the win!!!

Perspective from the Northland of KCMO.

I'm more into baseball and followed closely the 2015 Royal WS win season. However, the Chiefs had their turn this year, and I've never seen so much red & gold everywhere. Those will be most prominently displayed at the parade and festivities in downtown KCMO on Wed. (I remember the sea of blue color in 2015 there). Most of all, I'm glad Coach Andy Reid finally achieved his big win. He is a nice fellow and has worked hard at the sport.

I didn't watch the game last evening, but followed live stats on my computer. My daughter watched it although she really isn't that much into professional football either. She said she does like to watch commercials though. I missed those completely. ;) Final happening was during the last half of the fourth quarter. Fireworks started all around our neighborhood. Winkie, new-kitten-in-residence, stayed under the bed. He's not heard fireworks before. It sounded like more booms were shot off than during 4th of July celebrations. 'Twas a different Sunday evening than the usual quiet ones.

Have a good day, Henry Folk.

"...instead of just taking a knee, acted like he was going to make a play.. ."

That wasn't a taunt. He was just running out the last 5 seconds on the clock. That was a called play.

No biggie. After the season they had, they are certainly deserving of the win!☺
