Happy New Years All. Went out yesterday and put some rounds down range with the 45-70. I was shooting 405 grain cowboy loads from Black Hills at 1250 FPS standing. I put 20 rounds at 100 yards on steel. Recoil was surprisingly low, no sore shoulder ! Going out tomorrow to do it again.
