Yes, but only for an hour at a time. Then they have to pass it to the next guy in line. Something like that, anyway. We girls have our own hats.

I’m on too many, (including being chapter president in one) but join some only to be able to see pics in tech articles. This is by FAR the friendliest forum I’ve been on.

Re: LEAVING THIS FORUM
Have not been here very long, however, THIS forum, I enjoy and don't see any reason to spend much time on any others. Maybe on gun mfr. Specifics, but here, I have found a LOT of educated good people, Sorry to see anyone choose to leave but I respect your decision.

Re: LEAVING THIS FORUM
I will miss you. (I understand where you are coming from and I went to the other place to figure out what I had missed here.)
If the post that was deleted HERE (I never saw it here.) had to do U.S. GUN LAWS (Proposed and in effect aka passed gun laws by specific states.) and it was deleted... ALL people HERE, including moderators and posters, should not be allowed to post about ANY gun laws in their state or in their country. But hey! I do not own this, run it or really have any say other than my opinion and all of us have those.
I have noticed that what IS allowed seems to be VERY selective on Who posts it and we get to hear/read on how it should NOT get political which is NOT allowed. RULES OF THE FORUM THAT WE AGREE TO WHEN WE SIGN UP. But the thing IS this... GUN LAWS ARE POLITICAL!
And when you have a 'hard core' as I have read HERE on this forum PRO gun advocate like ME and some others or soft core aka PRO Gun Control moderator/moderators AND poster/posters... you can see how CONGRATS go around the forum by being safe (Frown.) since it did not get Political by some people since it went along with a specific agenda. Using their own words on NOT GETTING 'POLITICAL'.
So since some GUN LAWS are allowed to be discussed according to what is DEEMED SAFE by said powers... ALL OF THEM should be in a section called GUN LAWS ACCORDING TO THE STATE AND OR COUNTRY. And if you allow discussion by some people on GUN LAWS and how much they love them/approve of them - all of them should be allowed. And if you allow SOME GUN LAWS WRITTEN ABOUT BUT NOT OTHER GUN LAWS --- that is being very biased in my opinion. Kind of stupid too since many gun people do NOT keep up on GUN LAWS.
That is my opinion and it may or may not get deleted or shut down closed so no one can reply to it... been there - done that but those are the rules of who OWNS and runs this forum.
Speaking of political not being allowed... maybe the Politicians who have been mentioned HERE on this forum since they died or are ill or Whatever (Crazy or sane or crooked or honest in ALL or in only some parts of their lives.) whether we agreed with them or not should be deleted too. After all... they were IN politics. The dreaded P word.
I swear to God that some gun folks are their own enemies no matter WHERE they live and they seem to be turning into snowflakes.
I have noticed in meetings, in one to one talks and by reading ALL sides of the news and forums... the ones who CLAIM TO BE SO TOLERANT SEEM TO BE THE MOST INTOLERANT on another view or even a mere discussion on GUN LAWS or on many subjects when it comes to 'laws'.
I will miss you.
Sincerely,
Catherine who is a proud supporter of the Right To Keep and Bear Arms.

Re: LEAVING THIS FORUM
Well, interesting perspective. In this life, we will probably agree on very few things. Unless, one chooses not to please the desires of the flesh. The flesh is selfish. Being the case, it does not care who or what must suffer to be satisfied. Since there are currently roughly 7 billion people in this world, things may get very unpleasant.
So, I just try and do the best I can, with what I got, where I am at, while I can and leave it at that. I seem to rest better.
Just a thought.

Re: LEAVING THIS FORUM
Well, time to earn my Deputy pay I guess.
The rules are quite clear on this forum. Obviously we are all very passionate about our firearms, including those of us who live in non-2A countries where it is not our "right to bear arms", but a privilege to own guns much like a driver's license. One only has to read the news or watch the media to see that gun owners are under the microscope, and under attack in some cases by people who don't want anyone to have them. That said, there are plenty of gun forums out there where almost anything can be said about almost any topic. Some of it gets downright nasty. It won't happen here.
This forum is billed as "a friendly place to discuss Henry rifles and just about anything else". It won't stay friendly if we invite opinions on incendiary topics such as gun laws and politics. There is no way in my opinion that those topics can remain civilized, especially in today's world. As far as postings about politicians recently, I personally agree that they walk a fine line as some of us may not agree with the comments. I think that is a takeaway for discussion among the owners and moderators. Perhaps they won't agree with me.
We hope our members will continue to contribute, post and share their interests and stories. As long as we all observe the forum rules, this place will continue to attract new members and be a friendly place.

Re: LEAVING THIS FORUM
For the record, I fully support RRs position and that of the owners. I have been on other forums and have seen things get not just nasty, but downright ugly and vicious when things get political (and make no mistake, gun rights are a very political issue). I do NOT want that to happen, here.

Well, I respect your answers here even if some of you may or may not have paid attention to what has ALREADY been posted when it came to GUN LAWS throughout this entire forum here and there - on and off.
Thanks for the replies.
