I'm glad you kept us updated. I always welcome new members "to the family," and I mean it. A lot goes on here behind the scenes. Members reaching out, helping others like family. Ofter, the only thing they ask is don't mention it. Yup, it's appropriate to keep the family in the loop. We'd want to know about "our girl."

Granddaughter update:
She still has tube up her nose and mainly lives on liquid meals and some soft foods.
She has returned to high school full time.
She is in marching band and pep band and volleyball.
She went to the school formal dance.
She also participated in the Junior Snow Queen contest and received the 1st runner award.
I am so proud of her for going to the formal and Snow Queen, she is so self-conscious and shy about the nose tube but she toughened up and carried on.

There's a lot to be proud of. Being able to carry on with her life while dealing with her problem is admirable . Hell, I am proud of her.

Good for her to overcome our foolish childhood concerns about appearance and living life to its fullest. I’m sure all this misery will only make her a strong successful adult who will conquer everything life throws at her. Well done!

Good to hear BRM. Im sure you have already told her she has a support group of shooting people that are pulling for her 110%. I hope someday she can live a more normal life and that they will be able to help her get there. Keep coming with the updates in the meantime.

Thanks for the update, brm. Sounds like she is recovering well and is taking care of business.
Got a good fighter there, like Ernie said, Hell I'm proud of her also.
