It’s currently-29 F here. Not going to do much aside from get a fire going in the shop to keep my baseboard heater from melting down trying to keep it above freezing in there

Woke to 15 this morning with a feel of -1 cause of the wind. Been snowing from lite dry dust to big flakes with wind. Not a lot of accumulation, maybe an inch or so.

after dropping 2.3" of rain on us yesterday the storm has moved on up the east coast .... it left dropping temps and some strong wind gust behind .... something dropped on a power line an hour or so after lunch and left us without power for a couple of hours .... decided to use the power outage to test our camper's generator and its other emergency systems .... happy to report that the OEM Onan generator fired right up and ran smoothly .... watched a little of the Houston vs Cleveland NFL game but really don't have any interest in either of them .... ACC basketball is a very different story ....

Good morning from central W TN, was 20 when I got up around 7, now it's 19 with a 10 mph breeze that makes it feel like 7
and shows a high of mid 20's later.
Have a chance of snow this afternoon into tomorrow.

Not a cold last night with a current temp of -6. I’ve been out once with the dog and thankfully there is no wind at this time. Yesterday’s high was 2 above but today we hope to see a high of 10. We’ve seen the worst of the cold and by the end of the week we are expected to be back to normal. But with normal temps comes more snow. Figures that the ski resorts finally some some decent snow last week only to have these temps probably keeping folks home. Next weekend should have fresh powder and reasonable temps for them.

Not much on a the agenda today, still too cold to do anything outside or in the unheated shop. I will keep the fire going in the stove.

Supposed to cool down here on the Gulf. Our low temp for tomorrow keeps bouncing around. Seems no one knows how cold it will get. I do know that it was -15 yesterday at my home in Colorado. Im allergic to those kind of temps.

-3º and clear, little wind. Got a couple more inches of snow last night. My transaxle on my lawn tractor/snow blower went out yesterday while attempting to clear the neighbor lady's drive and had to push it back to my house and into the shop. Thankfully another neighbor stopped to help. Now looking to find a new transaxle, seems the one I have is no longer available.

Yesterday's wind/snow/ice storm finished up overnight. Low of 14. Currently 19. Forecasted high 26. Arctic bubble expect to hang around until early Wed morning.

Zero just now. Windchill minus 9... ive seen colder in my life and there are plenty of you folks that have colder right now but i still want to say that i do dispise this level of cold.....they say we will have this miserable cold snap through tuesday. Nothing to do about it but endure (and moan and whine a little). So after daylight i will go to the other farm , plug in the old 886 international tractor..give it an hour to warm the old thing up and feed cows and check to see where i have to chop ice... then scurry home and stay denned up till time to repeat the cycle the next day. Lucky we only got an inch of snow...
I should be happy we only got an inch of snow, and my power hasnt gone out, and i dont live where its this way six months of the year, or somewhere in the middle of a war zone... humm.... i do hate this cold, but it could be worse...
well, i should sign off now.... im not doing a very effective job of whinning and moaning.... hummmm...

I’m with Ozark above, cold as hell (?) here but it could be so much worse.

-8 out there but no wind to speak of. Just went out with the dog and we were both happy to get back to the fire inside. The arctic blast is turning the corner as today’s high is expected to be 13. First double digit high we have had in a few days. However while the end of the cold is in sight we will be “blessed” with some snow starting Tuesday night. It is supposed to be a classic snow maker with a warmer very wet storm moving overtop the very cold surface air. We are expecting 8-12” here at my place and much more in the mountains.

Today I’ll go out and start the snow plow (Polaris Ranger), the snow blower and the tractor. Haven’t started any since the big chill arrived. Gotta get ready for the next rounds of “fun”.

40 degrees now, supposed to get up to 56 later .... light rain earlier that seems to be clearing out .... chipped a hunk out of a back tooth that will most probably take a crown to fix .... called and now have a 2:30 dental appointment .... can't say I'm happy about this development

Yup, cold as hell.
We went into the city last evening for a birthday and it was fine as soon as the
Explorer warmed up each way. Today I have to clear the front as the lovely
Mrs. Cooperhawk has clients coming. I have found that with this cold fluffy
snow that my leaf blower works just fine.

chipped a hunk out of a back tooth that will most probably take a crown to fix .... called and now have a 2:30 dental appointment .... can't say I'm happy about this development.

You seen to be having the same problem I had with my teeth. My teeth were soft and worn out and I got tired of root canals, bridges and caps so I had them removed and implants installed. That was the best thing I've done for myself in years. They advertise that you wake up with the new teeth in your mouth, but they lie. It takes several months of adjustment but now I can eat anything I want, period. my health insurance covered a large portion of it so it wasn't too expensive.

its good to hear positive report on implants .... I don't have any family or close friends who have positive experience with them .... don't have a clue if our insurance will cover them .... suggestion and info appreciated

It's a combo of implants and plates. I only needed two in the lower jaw that the plate clicks into. The upper plates
will stay in so fast without implants that sometimes it's difficult to remove them. The insurance paid for the surgery and plates, but
not the implants themselves. it's been three years and I an very happy with the outcome.

I was able to clear my driveway this afternoon. Most of it I could plow but part of it I had to scoop with the bucket and remove it down the hill. My vision cleared enough in the last few hours that I think I can drive to town tomorrow.

This is the thin snow area. At the top of the hill it was several feet deep.
