Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
25 low last night .... up to 35 right now .... 58 predicted to be today's high .... no more sub freezing night temps on the horizon .... root canal yesterday, general dental checkup and cleaning today --- hopefully that will end dental stuff for a while ....
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Beautiful pic vaquero.
A little warmer today with a current temp of 26. I was just out with the dog and it looked (still dark) like a light snow was falling. Probably just freezing fog as the snow isn’t expected until overnight tonight. With the fog we haven’t seen temps above freezing for a few days. Gloomy out there. Snows start tonight and are expected to continue off and on thru Saturday night. Some are suggesting here at my place I could see 6-8” but we’ll see on that. Then next week a warm up with rain and temps in the 40’s. Hopefully the mountains will continue to get snow and not rain. We are behind in the snowpack so far this year and are still considered to be in a mild drought.
I have a little running around planned today and then I’m going to pull the motor home out of the shop and let the engine and the generator run for a while. It’s recommended to run the generator with a load on it for a while monthly.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was a moderate 63° this morning on the dog walk. We got a little damp but not too bad. It's been raining off/on most of the day and right now we're getting a little heavier rain than previously in the day. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

How is it December already?
26 with a light snow falling and about an inch on the ground. The bigger storm is supposed to hit around mid-day with some snow blower type accumulations. Oh why don’t I move south?
Not much on tap today other than some indoor projects like cleaning up the garage.

Fair, 21°F, Humidity 80%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 30.02 in
Partly sunny, with a high near 33.
North northeast wind around 5 mph.
Coffee is on the way.
Cleaning and straightening up the shop is going well. Almost done.
Then I'll need a Winter project to build.
There is a great deal more going on in my life right now but I don't want to
talk about it just yet. I'm hoping for a positive outcome but I am skeptical.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Great news brm! I hope that granddaughter overcomes the Turrets. It was warm and foggy this morning on the dog walk. I'm sure it was close to 68° or so. It's probably somewhere in the low 70's at this posting. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

first up this morning hauling trash and on the way dropping our Blazer off at the dealership for a tire replacement .... not much else on tap right now but something usually comes up

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Yesterday's rain got rid of our couple inches of snow. High in the 40s for the next 10 days. Maybe getting the snowblower on the tractor had something to do with that.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Fair, 16°F, Humidity 86%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 30.03 in
Mostly sunny, with a high near 39.
South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
I slept late. Now for coffee.
It's supposed to way above normal temps for the next week.
Today we go to Costco and purchase several Salmon filets which Carol will brine
with her secret recipe for a few hours, and then tomorrow I will lightly smoke.
Carol will then vacuum pack portions with her magic machine. What our goal is
is to have moist, smokey, salty, sweet, and some other flavors and are not dried out.
In our locality the neighbors all make Christmas treats so the salmon will go into
baskets of home made candy, cookies, ect. that we give away to the neighbors.
Then they give us all their home made goodies which I get to eat. Love it!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Yeah Coop, since we’re neighbors let’s be friends…….
Well the damn snow arrived as predicted. Started yesterday and after a couple of inches it stopped. But then resumed overnight and as of now there’s 5” in my driveway and it’s still coming down. It’s supposed to continue until mid-day and then we get a break. But wait, there’s more. More coming tomorrow but the temps are supposed to warm up into the 40’s next week which should make this white crap go away. Hope not in the mountains tho.
So I will be moving snow most of the day. My son called me last night and the brand new belt we just put on his mower mounted snow blower broke. New because the old one broke at the end of last season. I told him there is probably something bent in the pulley system causing the belt to break. So he is going to haul it into the dealer for an inspection. Meanwhile he’s coming over to borrow my atv with a blade for the interim.
Yesterday afternoon on the trail on my place.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Another relative "warm" day for winter. The air conditioning is on as a matter of fact. It was probably in the upper 60's on the dog walk this morning. We've got overcast skies and once I went to empty trash and it was misting a bit. I guess one could have said a "light sprinkle". Right now it's in the low 70's but with the humidity about the same. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast but cooked bacon and eggs for the rest of the crew.
