we have a beautiful but cool 44 degree morning with the high only predicted to get up to 63 later today no rain until Tuesday when its predicted to set in with a 94% chance of "Periods of rain and a thunderstorm" .... with us traveling for Thanksgiving we have a few things button up at home .... none serious or complicated

Woke up to a pretty heavy snow storm but at 33 degrees it’s a very wet snow that while is clinging to the ground and the trees it won’t stick around. (Yea) Not sure what the expected high is today but probably in the upper 30’s to the lower 40’s. Our local weather folks sleep in on the weekend.

I finished my burning yesterday and because of the predicted high winds today I wanted the fire pile to cool out. So last night right at dark I spread the embers out to help with cooling. When I burn the ember pile becomes kind of a pyramid which holds in the heat nicely. Normally I would just leave it in order to complete the burn but didn’t this time because of the predicted wind. After spreading out the embers it looked so cool I took this pic. Looks like the gate to hell!

It was in the upper 50's this morning on the dog walk. I didn't check the temperature but I'm pretty good about guessing. Currently it's 73°after getting up to 75°. I cooked some bacon, French toast and coffee for breakfast. The big news for the day is Robyn and I are finally grandparents. The world welcomed Eleanor Marie Butler this morning at 3:59 a.m. My wife and I joked we should call her Ellie Mae. (Y'all come back now, hear!)

32 last night .... 40 right now ... predicted high of 62 .... no rain today but its supposed to move in tomorrow .... first up this morning, taking our Chevy pickup in for a yearly safety inspection .... meds and supplies run to Walmart where I'll pickup a can of Restore ... when we get the truck we will drop off our Trailblazer for service and lube (we need the Restore for it) ... after that taking care of some minor items to get ready pull out and head to western NC for Thanksgiving

30 right now with a high of 39 expected. We should see some sunshine this afternoon after the fog/low clouds burn off. My wife has a dentist appt this morning and afterwards we may head out to the Spokane Valley and look at a few Jeeps. We can’t make up our minds whether to buy a new one or keep our Explorer and buy a used Jeep for towing behind the MoHo. So today we’ll be looking at used Jeeps to help us make up our mind. Dang those new ones are expensive. The Hybrids have a Federal rebate of $7500 if we lease and maybe an additional $5000 from the lease company. Not sure on the last one and we have never leased a car before so we’re both pretty ignorant on the process.

I have a 2015 Explorer that we tow all the time. I must have over 20,000 miles on it just towing. I try to keep it up
because I hate to spend the money to set up a new tow vehicle.

It was 70° and muggy this morning just before the rain. We haven't gotten much but it was enough to settle the dust. A cold front is moving through in the early hours of Tuesday morning and it's supposed to be windy tomorrow. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

our part of NC has been experiencing a significant drought for a good while .... with the Thanksgiving holiday travel season at hand, 2 days of rain is underway .... according to the weather radar, the leading edge of the front bringing the rain is not far west of us .... if as forecasted it brings a couple of inches of rain it won't end the drought but it will sure help .... currently 52 on its way to 65 later this afternoon .... we need to button up a few small things so as to be ready to pull out in the morning on our way to western NC for Thanksgiving .... looks like a wet drive for the first hundred or so miles

Our Explorer is a 2018 and is capable of flat towing. I was quoted by the RV dealer the cost to set it up for flat towing is 6-8 thousand. With 61000 miles on the Explorer I’m hesitant to spend that only to have the Explorer have issues. However spending 40-50K on a new Jeep isn’t attractive either. I’m trying to convince my wife to just buy a “cheap” used Jeep and keep the Explorer as the daily driver and use the Jeep for traveling. I think she’s getting there.

6 to 8 thousand sounds like a lot. I had our set up for less than two but that was a few years back. The biggest thing is
the tow plate. They have to pull the front facade off and remove the titanium bumper behind it replacing it with the tow
plate. That's not that big a deal. My local shop did that in one day. Then I had the Air Force 1 braking system installed and
installed the wiring kit. I guess though you don't have air brakes so the AF1 won't work for you.

My Explorer had about 160 thousand miles on it now but if you add in tow miles it's more like two hundred thousand. I've had
to replace a couple wheel bearings, but that's about all.

I also have the Blue Ox tow bar and tow plate.
