we toured their manufacturing plant and it was impressive .... we were told they did the Vietnam Memorial Wall .... that's pretty high companySir Henry wrote:I hear people are dying to get their products.JEBar wrote:we will be spending the weekend with our camping club so for us its a pack-up, hookup morning .... a couple of cups of coffee from out Rock Of Ages -- http://www.rockofages.com/ will certainly help in our effort ... the Rock of Ages Quarry itself is located in Barre, VT -- https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/sea ... mp=yhs-002 -- their headquarters in Graniteville, VT is one heck of an operation .... its an impressive facility, very well worth the time to tour
Re: Our mornin Coffee
My late husband and I donated money to build the Vietnam Memorial Wall in D.C.
He was a Vietnam Veteran and we went to see it with a few of his old ship mates.
Many of his old ship mates are dead too. Many of them died fairly young and some of them died in their 50's as he died too.
We were going to go back to see it again since I grew up in Maryland from the age of one and I still have one older brother living there but we never made it for the second trip.
There is a Vietnam Memorial here in this college town that I have visited a few times.
http://www.vietvet.org/mtvvmem.htm
One of the strangest things is that there is a deceased Veteran's name there who has the EXACT last name of my late husband's BEST friend from the age of 7 years old. NO kidding. My late husband and his best friend grew up together, they were close shy of their military time and when my late Mom was dying of cancer in MD, my late husband enlisted, his best friend was drafted, and they were like BROTHERS until his death. It is not a common name and when I saw that here in town... I was kind of shocked.
These two men have their names side by side in a Veteran Memorial Park back in their former state. The best friend moved to Florida. My late husband's ashes are scattered here in Montana in a beautiful place. My ashes will be scattered up there and my MT husband's ashes will be scattered up there too.

I want to take my MT husband to see that VT quarry whenever we head up to Maine.
I never had time to see it with my late husband on our trips back to the East Coast over the years. We were always pushing for time on our way to Maine, MA, CT, NY, MD, etc.
I did not have time to see it when I traveled alone on all of my East Coast trips either.
Take care.

Re: The Weather Channel
Good morning sleepy heads. Great looking morning here in Jonesboro. 47 degrees, breezy, and clear skies. The wind really picked up yesterday afternoon, and if you watched the Masters, you could see the wind blowing, and disrupting their game. Today should be quite a big like yesterday. No rain in sight until late Monday.

Re: Our mornin Coffee
for historic significance, its natural beauty, and reflections of its way of life, the Outer Banks of NC is a special place to us .... we've been to all but one of the lighthouses on the Outer Banks and most certainly hope to see it as well .... we are out in our camper on this cool 41degree this morning .... somehow thinking back to standing on the Outer Banks, cup of hot coffee in hand, while watching the sun rise out of the ocean always makes thing better
