It's 82° this morning a bit before 9 a.m. The low this morning was a pleasant surprise at 76°. That's the first time the low was in the seventies for quite a few weeks. We're still under a heat advisory as the high temperature is supposed to be 98° this afternoon. I just had cereal, toast, and coffee for breakfast. My Ruger Speed Six is supposed to be delivered to my FFL sometime today. Perhaps if he receives it early enough I can pick it up today and, if not, tomorrow.

A pleasant 57 this morning but a not so pleasant 92 expected later. This heat combined with low humidity and winds of 20 gusting to 35 has our area under another fire watch. There’s a bit of a cold front coming thru today causing the winds but this front is also going to give us highs in the low to mid 80’s for the week. Nice!

Today I will get the rv washed and put back into the shop.

Fog/Mist, 63°F, Humidity 100%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 30.02 in
Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.
Heat index values as high as 95.
South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Still no rain. The storms yesterday were violent but went around us.
It's going to be a hot one, but I'm going to put down fertilizer and seed this morning.

83° this morning. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. I'll try and get a bit of work done today and hopefully pick up the Ruger.

The cold front came thru last evening but the winds weren’t as bad as forecast. No reports of any new fires so we dodged another bullet. A very pleasant 60 for the morning cup of coffee on the patio which faces east so I get to watch the sun rise thru the trees. Only 80 for a high today with daily increases to 89 by Saturday. Then next week the stoopid mid 90’s return. So I had better take advantage of this weeks temps and get something done. Which today is to pull the boat out and give it a good in and out cleaning after last weeks use.

Holy cow, it’s 39 degrees out there. Well that’s the official Deer Park temp according to the local news but my thermometer shows 47. Either way, sure is a nice morning out there. Getting up to 81 later so just a nice day all around. We’re taking a trip to the property up near the border and due to the elevation difference it will be 5-8 degrees cooler there. That will make it nice as I plan to hike the property to do an overall check. 20 acres so there’s some nice hiking with good elevation changes. The dog is excited to join me.

I'd love to have one 39°-degree morning about now Hatchdog! I don't know what the temperature was on the dog walk this morning but it's 91° at just about 11:30. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

That’s some beautiful country Al but I sure wouldn’t want to hike it.

A pleasant 57 here with clear skies. 86 for the high which is acceptable. But possibly back to mid 90’s next week with a suggestion of triple digits by Thursday.

A quiet day today, only for sure thing is mowing the lawn early and Mrs. Hatchdog has a dr appt mid afternoon. Pups going to doggie daycare for a romp with his buddies.

Hottest day of the year here today in SW Virginia. Not nearly as bad as some places out there, but it is still a hot 97.

54 with a sunrise in progress. Another beautiful morning here in the northwest. High today is the upper 80’s to the lower 90’s with light winds. Playing golf today with a 9:00 start time so we will avoid the worst of the heat. Big warm up next week but thankfully the talk about triple digits has gone away. Still mid 90’s in the forecast. Rain? What’s rain?

We had another mild morning at 75°. It's supposed to get up around 98° and, hopefully, the last day of the Saharan dust that's tormented us for a bit over a week now. There's still no rain in the two-week forecast. As I posted earlier, we either have lots of rain or none at all. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast. Now, I need to get to work.

I was drinking my coffee around the pool in the back yard and I watched a house wren giving flight lessons to a hatchling.
It's fun to watch. They refuse to feed them until they leave the nest and try their wings. Then it's acrobatics all around the
yard with the nestling trying to catch the parent for food.
Then I also heard an immature eagle over the lake crying for the parent to feed it as well.
Time to get out of Mom's basement and get on your own is the message.
