Got up to 85 here today, but was pretty breezy all day.
Really a nice one to be outside.

Rains on the way, and should hang around a few hours before heading East.

another beautiful day has dawned in Central NC .... 63 on its way to 85 under a clear, Carolina Blue sky .... all that is predicted to change tomorrow when "Breezy and cooler with heavy rain and a thunderstorm; thunderstorms can bring flooding downpours, hail and damaging wind gusts" .... we plan to leave home shortly after noon to camp this weekend with our club .... sounds like all should be good today but tomorrow will be spent mostly inside the camper .... its supposed to be clear but cooler when we pack up to come home on Sunday

Woke up to 36 with overnight rain. Now it’s getting foggy. We could possibly see 50 later as this cloud cover is supposed to move out with partly cloudy skies and a slight chance of thunderstorms on tap. There is some talk of a nice warmup next week with the temps tickling 70. We’ll see about that.

Looks like a good day to continue splitting firewood as I lost yesterday to an upper GI scope. All is good. I did feel good enough in the afternoon to stack the wood I split a few days ago.

Thunderstorms moved through the area just after midnight as predicted. The rain lasted for about four hours. The grass is getting a lot greener for sure. It's 73° right now and the high is to be around 79°. Looks like a nice day to ride the bike if I only had a destination and company along the way. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

Morning, up and at the bench this AM. The wife has been up with the grandson since 2. I've been up since 5, so I decided to stuff some 357's.
Was 42° when I got up and it's FOGGY as heck out there.

I guess I'll putz around in the shop today. I'd load some 357 but I've got hundreds of rounds

Sure wish it would warm up.

31 with a light cloud layer that the sun should burn thru shortly. It’s trying now and I see blue sky to the west. It’s supposed to get into the 50’s today. For me, first up is going over to my son’s place to help him hang a gate on the posts we set last weekend. Then home for Mrs. Hatchdog to direct me to what chores in the yard she wants done. Yes, she will work alongside me so that’s good. :D

61° this morning with a fairly strong wind coming in from the SE. It's only warmed up a couple of degrees since. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast. There's not much to do today.

70 degrees as this is being typed where we are camped with our club just off I-95 near Four Oaks, NC .... even a brief glance outside our camper in a westerly direction confirms that the predicted storm front showing on radar is on its way .... after a good breakfast some of the ladies made a quick supply run while I took both of the 30 lb propane tanks from our daughter's camper to have them filled ..... they were both slap dab empty .... the storm front hasn't interrupted our satellite signal yet but that appears to be certain .... not an issue for us, we are watching a recording of "In Harm's Way" staring John Wayne and Kirk Douglas .... if things continue to go as predicted, the front should move out before we go out to eat this evening

although it is a bit coooool at 45 degrees, we are delighted to once again awaken to see a beautifully clear Carolina Blue Sky .... thankfully, we didn't experience the rougher aspects of the storm front that hung around for most of yesterday .... in other words, steady but not too heavy rain, wind but not high wind, rumbles of thunder in the distance ..... after breakfast, we will pack up and head home from where we are camped .... no hurry !!!

Low of 27 and a high today of 41 with overcast skies. At least the 7 mph wind isn’t too bad. K-cup Black Rifle in my cup as I think about jumping into the shower and getting dressed for church.

Started raining last night around 9:00, woke up this morning to 1.5” of rain in the gauge. Going to be in the 50’s all this coming week.
Checked the rain gauge this afternoon, now reads 2”!
