Our Morning Coffee and Weather

61 degrees and that's as warm as its going to get today, by mid afternoon they say it will be in the 40's .... thunderstorms rolled in around 5AM and are forecasted to dump 3 to 4" of rain before they roll out this evening .... in looking at the pictures below, consider the fact that when i went to bed around midnight, the back yard was dry .... our phones began sounding flash flood warnings way before daylight that are still in effect .... no plans for today that would require leaving the house

Looks about like we have it around here this morning. I think we got at least four inches of rain last night. There was lots of rumbling throughout the night. I got up to walk the dogs it was 56° and now it's 58° with light rain. More rain is coming later today. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

Grandson is here and we went for our usual stroll through the woods, probably do it again this morning before he goes home.
I did mange a few mins. to add a saddle ring to the Rossi 45 colt.

Finally gonna warm up around here, the best snow moving machine around is warm weather. Getting ready for Easter, Mrs. B and a bunch of the grandkids are going to meet the Easter Bunny at the town’s ceramic shop and then coming here to decorate sugar cookies. Everyone have a great day!

45 on its way to only 47 with pretty much steady rain ...... they are calling for it to drop to 39 tonight .... thankfully, we are in store for a rather rapid warming trend .... looks like today will be another best spent inside .... if April showers do bring May flowers, looks like we are going to have highly floral spring

Woke up to 40 and now it’s 40 but the sun is up and behind some light clouds. It’s supposed to be a dry day today looking at 50 but very windy. Yesterday I got rained out on my tree cutting project so did some straightening up in the shop. Came in to watch the Masters golf tournament on tv and after a bit it too got rained out. Big winds that uprooted three big pines right into an area full of people watching. Thankfully nobody was hurt, it could have been tragic.

So today is shaping up to be a good day around here so it’s back to the chainsaw.

The two Sand Hill Cranes that nested here last year are back. I took a few pictures with my telescope and camera but it’s an hour project to download and post them. Apparently they didn’t get the snow report when they were in Texas.

54° this morning around 7 a.m. It's only 56° a few minutes before 11 a.m. It's cloudy but not raining. I just had some hot cereal, toast and coffee for breakfast.

He came from the lower right and went to the left and then turned around and took the same tracks back a few feet and then headed down the hill.

I don’t feed the birds because the squirrels raid the feeders too. The Red Squirrels are very destructive.
