Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
57 this morning, heading to low 80’s. The pole saw and chainsaw liked to have done me in yesterday.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
dreary, overcast, 55 degrees with "Spotty Drizzle" .... the sky is supposed to clear around noon and the temp to hit 75 shortly thereafter .... no plans for this morning .... hauling trash and grocery run on tap for this afternoon
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
28 heading to 46 with rain coming in later. Then maybe some wet non sticking snow overnight. Old man winter just won’t let go.
I decided while waiting for the snow to melt so I can get to work on my outdoor projects I would get next years firewood split. Next week is supposed to be somewhat sunny with highs in the upper 40’s to the lower 50’s, perfect temps for it. I can’t get to where my wood is stored so yesterday I shoveled a path. First tried the snow blower but it wouldn’t touch this hard frozen snow so I had to use a square point shovel and chip it out. Hard to see in the shade is the wood cut into rounds last year. Should be good to go by this fall.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
57 on its way to 88 with a 3 mph wind out of the SSW .... I have a hearing test scheduled for right after lunch .... this will be my second .... the first was many years ago and showed I have damage in both ears, most likely brought on by too much shooting without wearing hearing protection .... things pretty much ended at that point when I got a look at the literally thousands of dollars they wanted for good hearing aids .... starting this year our health insurance covers hearing testing and is reported to give major discount for purchasing them .... time will tell
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good luck with the hearing test JEBar. Currently 59 with a high of 86

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Warm and muggy 75° this morning with thunderstorms for this afternoon. I've been under the weather the past few days. Not covid, just a lot of congestion and no energy. I didn't take a flu test so don't know if that was it or not. I'm feeling better today but not still 100%. I just had cereal, toast and coffee this morning.

Woke up to 32 with a light dusting of snow overnight. Then a little while ago we had a mini blizzard with heaven snow going sidewise. 20 minutes later the sun was out. Hmmmmmm must be March. High today is 45 with sun breaks from time to time. Not sure what today will bring but I’m not too motivated as I was up late last night watching and recovering from the Gonzaga basketball game. Last minute win but it took years from my life.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
This morning rain, then a burst of snow flurries, then back to rain.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
We've had fairly steady snow on this side of the Willamette River, some slight rain now & then. Temps seem to hover between 31* to 35*, depending on which weather report or home thermometer we look at. I spooked the herd of Quail that I feed when I went tromping thru the snow to give them some cracked corn for their breakfast......
Added in Edit: had to fix the phone's stupid autocorrect from "heard or Quail" to "herd of Quail. And yes, I know it's technically properly called a "covey"......

Be safe there Oldbrass and keep an eye out for the idiots, they're out there.
My buddy and business partner was parking his bike in front of their clubhouse Thurs afternoon.
He pulled up, stopped and was about to back it up to the sidewalk and out of nowhere this women comes "backing" down the street at he said looked like 30-35 mph. Back right over him, rolled the window down and asked if he was alright, then just drove off.
Broke his Fibula and dislocated the tibia at the ankle.
And they still haven't found her.
Oh, good morning, was 55 when I woke and headed towards the mid 60's.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
another warm (already up to 63) with a predicted high of 81 .... the storm front that dropped a major tornado which heavily damaged Rolling Fork, Mississippi last night is supposed to move through here later today .... thankfully, the storms destructive potential has greatly diminished
