Coop, I’m surprised any box marked cookies dirty or otherwise made it thru the shipping system without getting hijacked.

27 here in Eastern Washington State and the temps are expected to climb up to…27. Looks to be overcast but it’s somewhat bright out there so I hope the sun will make an appearance today. I have a shop and a shed with metal roofs and yesterday the snow slid off both. Sure makes an impressive pile of snow.

A warm 71° this morning. There was a 70% chance of rain but I think it either went around us...or maybe it hasn't gotten here yet. I cooked eggs, port chops, toast and coffee this morning.

See, I have this problem, I'm not very bright. Back in the late 60s I went through the US Weather Bureau School in
Baltimore. Since then weather anomalies fascinate me. If there is a storm brewing, and it's not too dark, I just have
to go out and see for myself. I love to watch T-Storms. I sit on our deck with a beer and am fascinated.

Did you know that T-Storms are almost living things? Right, first there is the updraft that generates them, (birth), then
the updraft feeds the building storm with warm air and moisture, (growing up cycle), then the mature storm with the anvil
and associated lighting and thunder, (adolescents), Then the weight of the moisture becomes too much for the updrafts to support
and it collapses into the downdraft, (dangerous adults), then the storm loses its mass and dissipates, (dying).

It's the downdraft that spreads out into micro bursts with high winds and hail that are dangerous. Tornadoes almost always
generate on the Southwest corner and are due to the storm trying to suck in more air and moisture to satisfy the low pressure
in the center. One storm can generate several tornadoes and most will never touch the ground, but remain in clear air and invisible.
We tell aircraft to stay at least five miles away from them to remain out of danger.

For us this is darn near tropical for this time of year.
Coffee and another special cookie from my daughter.
The tech came again yesterday with more schematics for the dish washer. He found the problem
and ordered the parts. Carol has been without it for over a month but she hasn't complained.
I hope he gets it fixed before Christmas.
My newest Great Grand Daughter wishes you all Merry Christmas.

It's 56 now and 59 later, then down into the mid 30's for the overnight low.

We had another front move through in the early morning hours bringing some rain but no threatening weather. It's a bit overcast and 60°with the high only getting up to 68°. There are some that prefer this cooler weather, but I was enjoying last week's temps in the 80's. I just had cereal and coffee this morning.

I’ll bet you’re not “missing” it a bit.

29 here with a high predicted to be… yep, 29. The .5 inch of snow forecast is now over 2” so it looks like I’ll be manning the snow shovel again toady.

The arctic blast that is approaching has taken a bit of a turn so our temps of around 0 are now expected to be more in the lower double digits. That’s great news. But, with the revision comes news of another substantial snow storm the first of the week. If this keeps up we will be setting records for snowfall.

42 this morning on its way to 58 later today .... the front that brought deadly tornadoes to southeastern Louisiana started moving into our area last night and is supposed to hang around most of the rest of today .... for us, it has been and is forecasted remain a rain event .... looking out right now its easy to see a good bit of rain has fallen and continues to do so .... no wind, no lightening/thunder

BRM, that picture looks like my place. Those pending temperatures are brutal. I know you Dakotans are used to it but brutal just the same.


18 heading to 23 with a freezing fog. Probably heading towards Spokane today to hit Costco and the highway might be a bit slick.

Thinking about moving to Prescott Arizona. I’m going to start another thread asking for input.
