Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
79° with 84% humidity this morning. We're supposed to get rain early tomorrow morning, just after midnight. I hope so as it's very dry. Just had cereal, strawberries, toast and coffee this morning.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
40F going to 55F. Sunny.
Coffee in small amounts as the grand daughter stayed over last night and we had breakfast together this am. Apple slices, bananas and yougurt for her and coffee for me. We went on the swing and had a tractor ride before she left for the pumpkin farm with her mother and grandmother.
Catching up on the fall garden and maybe collecting leaves.
Enjoy your day.

39 but heading once again to the 70’s. Man oh man…
two more days in the 70’s then fall arrives.
Heading up to our place near the border, the guy who sprays our house for bugs has a couple of jobs up there a few miles down the road so he’s going to spray the building on our place. I need to get there early to clean it up somewhat. Time to put this computer down and hit the road.

28F with ten mph wind. This isn’t the coldest it’s been this fall but with the wind it sure feels like it. Good day to stay inside.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I grew up near Branson. It was a lot different when I was a kid. There was the town square and an art dealer on a corner leading out of town. Outside of town was Silver Dollar City and Marvel Cave. Silver Dollar City and the cave were next to each other, and it was mainly shops like broom making and blacksmithing. They added some rides later. Branson isn't anything like it used to be now. One of my ex-band directors, Dale Sullens, was a member of the Foggy River Boys and performed Branson on the weekends. It got to be so popular that he quit his teaching job and sang full time. Their bio page states he joined them in the 70's but I know for a fact that it was earlier than that. He was the band director at Sarcoxie High School and that was probably 1964-67. He was followed by a gentlemen named Carl Rubly who finished out Dale's second semester as Dale left at the Christmas break.pennsylvaniapete wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 8:54 amSounds like you got retirement figure out.

I cooked pancakes, bacon, and coffee this morning. It never rained last night but we have a light drizzle now. It's currently 71° and overcast.

Coffee, cookies.
It was a busy weekend. Our oldest daughter was here with her husband from Buffalo, NY.
We had a really good time and they, sadly, left this morning for home. My little girl. I miss her already.
We did manage to eat out quite a bit and had some good eats, then all the local kids were here yesterday
for chili and corn muffins and lots of laughs. It was a good weekend.
At my age when they drive away I always think it may be the last time we are together. I gave her my late
sister in laws diamond rings and Carol gave her my Mother's set of pearls along with diamond and pearl
ear rings. We think they should stay in the family. We still have jewelry to give to other children.
Then she told her husband he had to take her someplace fancy so she could show it all off.

40 degrees this morning with a high only about 60. Can you believe we have a freeze warning for tonight. Would be the earliest freeze I can remember having here if it does. Looks like a nice day.

Our first hard freeze.
Coffee and an English Muffin. One half peanut butter, the other grape jelly.
The muffins are left over from the company. I can't let them go to waste.
Shop work today.
The house seems empty now that everyone has gone home.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was 56° this morning on the dog walk. Currently it's 61° and the high today is only supposed to be 70°. We got few sprinkles yesterday but not the rain that was forecast. I'm a bit disappointed with that. I just had cereal, toast and coffee this morning for breakfast.

37 heading to the 70’s once again.
A few more days of these 70’s and then starting Saturday the highs will be in the 40’s.
When I arrived at our place up north yesterday there was frost on the ground. When I left I was in a tee shirt. Crazy fall we’re having.
Today I’m going to take advantage of the remaining few nice days and wash/clean up some equipment and put it away for the season. Nice to do this while temps are warm.

36F and 64% humidity. It may go to 40 today. It's mostly sunny.
Coffee in the Farmall mug this morning and Classic Country on the iPods.
Baby sitting today off and on. That means not much else on the plate.
I'd like to hunt later, if the rain holds off.
I hope your day is good.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I’m enjoying the same weather as Hatch. Just above freezing in the mornings, but 70s in the afternoon. Trying to get the roof finished on my new shop before Friday brings rain and 40s. Looks like only a day or so of rain, and then back to sun, but staying in the 40s and 50s now. Summer is coming to an abrupt end. Time to get the place tightened up for the coming winter…

Heading for a high of 48. By the weekend we'll be in the low 70s.
The neighbor and I are going out for breakfast this morning.
We do this from time to time just to catch up on local goings on.
Beer and wings with gun club friends this afternoon.
I guess I won't get much shop work done today, but probably will go shopping
for shop supplies.
