Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Awwwww, it’s a very pleasant 50 here back at home. Feels great after all those 60’s and 70’s mornings while camping. Funny, it’s probably only 60ish miles from here to camp as the crow flies and what a difference in temps. The area we were in is more semi-desert/farmland and the temp difference is interesting. No idea on the forecast high as the local news hasn’t started yet. But we are expecting another heat wave this week with upper 90’s again. I’m getting tired of this heat, last week was miserable.
Today is clean up and put the boat away and mow the lawn. Probably have to go over it twice as it’s way too long to take in one bite.

Hatch I know the area well, my grandmother (RIP) was part Colville Indian. I made several runs from Port of Tacoma to Kettle Falls rail yard in my trucking days. I used hiway 25 in the summer and 395 in the winter, Your in a beautiful area . Glad you had a good fishing adventure

73F and 45% humidity. A very pleasant morning. It will only get to 75F today.
I'm drinking coffee from my Henry mug and I was also watching the hummingbirds.
Nothing large on the plate today.
I hope your day is great.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It's not morning but currently it's 87° with humidity about the same. I got up to get lawn work done this morning before it got to darn hot but I don't think I made it. It was hot! Anyway, got the grass cut, weed whacked, and edged. I sat down for a bit and watched some TV under the air to cool off before getting in the shower. I'm moving a bit slow this afternoon. I did cook bacon and pancakes for breakfast this morning.

Folgers and Orios.
We got home yesterday afternoon and we are both glad to be here. Travel and music is fun, but home is home and where we're the most comfortable. We've been gone off and on for the last month and after while I just wanted to be back in my routine at home.
Now I have a list of projects to get done before Winter. Oh there is some talk about a trip to Door County Wisconsin this Fall, but nothing definite yet.
I haven't been shooting for a while now either. Gotta fix that and make some smoke.

Yes, that run on Hwy 25 from Davenport to Northport is one beautiful drive. For everybody the drive Oldbrass is describing runs for many miles (60?) along the reservoir created by Grand Coulee Dam on the mighty Columbia River called Lake Roosevelt. It’s a beautiful mix of semi-desert, rocky outcropping and pine forest. With views of the lake too.Oldbrass wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 10:17 amHatch I know the area well, my grandmother (RIP) was part Colville Indian. A wonderful 53 here at home with a predicted high of 91. Ugh. Then triple digits for a day or two. Our kids and grandkids are scheduled to arrive for a visit on Thursday from California. This heat will not be welcome.
Got the boat cleaned, washed and put away yesterday and today my wife will start on the trailer. I’m taking the dog to the groomers and while he’s there I’m running into Spokane to pick up a tube to take the grandkids tubing later this week. That will be fun.

Hopefully when he becomes a pastry chef he will still want to visit. That’s a great picture and a fun sign.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
80F with 45% humidity. Not going much higher.
Coffee in the volunteer fire mug. Cake with my coffee today.
Yesterday I had a bunch of fresh pineapple chunks in the fridge and found a scratch made recipe for them. I chopped the pineapple finely and made a cake with cream cheese frosting. It came out good.
Nothing big going on today. Rain is forecast for later today. The garden could use it.
Enjoy your day.

Mid 90’s today, and about 20% chance of rain. A good 6 hours of cutting grass today. Still feeling the effects of doing the trim work with push mower yesterday.

I have several projects that need doing. Not sure what it will be today.
Probably will be driveway work though. I also have wood to haul back to the
yard to be split. See, I can kill two birds with one stone, I haul some rock out to
the bridge and haul wood back with the front end loader. I need to level the approach
to the bridge with some rock.
