I looks like a tornado hit a small town south of us last night.
Well, at least a hundred miles south of us.

Not much going on today with the weather as it is. Usually there would be skeet and trap
this afternoon, but not in this kind of weather.

27 and looking at the mid 40’s is all for the high. Darn cold front is still in place and it keeps the wind blowing. Supposed to be 14 wind chill out there. I’m planning on getting out and cutting up the larger trees laid down by the thinning project I had done earlier this year. I hired a guy with a big skid steer with a masticator head on it to come in and grind up the remaining debris from the project. So I’ll need to get the big stuff out of his way. Been hard to get motivated to get out there when it’s in the 30’s and the wind is blowing 40 mph. At least the sun is shining today.

Another warm morning. We didn't get the rain that was forecast yesterday. It's a bit cloudy but I don't expect any precipitation. Just had cereal, strawberries and coffee. Doing some work today.

It rained heavy last night. 39F and low ground fog. I can barely see the school 300 yards away.

Thinking about making a garbage run and having breakfast in town. I wish Ogema had a latte place as it’s only 5 miles away. Rib Lake is the closet latte and it’s 13 miles with not much else. Medford has two latte places and is 29 miles with a tad more shopping.

It’s a tough life out here on the homestead.

PS. Congratulations to all the new grandfathers and expecting grandfathers.

Drinking my new Camano Island coffee. We got a couple of inches of snow last night, didn't stick to the roads but still has the grass and my truck covered. Will have to give the goats some hay this morning, snow is always slow to melt on the pasture. Unusual for us to get snow this late but anything's better than the early and long heat wave we had last year. Supposed to warm up to the mid 50's over the next 10 days, we're usually in the low 70's by then.

59° and cloudy. Rain is on its way. Just started on the 1st cup of coffee. Not sure what breakfast will be. Got a yard to cut, a treadmill to walk ,and I'm sure there's more. Always is.cheers!

25F and an inch off overnight snow. The neighbor took me to a maple syrup boiling shack yesterday and gave me a gallon of sap straight from the tree and told me to brew some coffee with it. Instead I heated it in a pan and made some jasmine pearl tea with it. So good!

67 under a lightly overcast sky on its way to 82 later today .... they say we are on tap for thunderstorms with a Level 1 Tornado threat this afternoon .... biggest outing on tap is taking two laptops and a printer to Best Buy for their geeks to work on

Low 60's this morning with a wind blowing from the NE to E. That won't last long as the stronger gulf winds will prevail by this afternoon. It's supposed to get into the mid 80's. The general brought some ham and cheese croissants for breakfast this morning. They're a little too sweet for me in the morning but he thought of doing something nice so no complaints. Washed it down with a cup of coffee. Not much work today so I plan on getting to the range. Hopefully that will happen. I think I'll take the .22 Hornet out this morning and see what I can do with it at the 200 yard range.

31 and still windy. Getting very tired of the wind. Continued cool temps for the next few days with rain/snow coming in on Saturday which will affect the local Easter egg hunts. There’s talk that the perception will stay to the south, hope so.

More outdoor work today which puts me in my happy place.

So far I got all the grass cut,string trimmed 3/4 acre (perimeter), and leaf blower to the entire area including 300 ft of fence line. Cleaned the tractor and string trimmer, showered and ready to do something non work related. Dang weather has either been to windy,cold or raining to go to the range. I'm chomping at the Bit to go.

Crazy weather this Winter. Broke the record for most snow in 1 day by quite a bit, 16.5" to 23.3". Last night we broke the record for latest snowfall. It was also a lot of snow, around 14". Supposed to be mid 40's today and in the 50's tomorrow so I'm not going to bother taking the mower deck off and putting the plow back on the Cub. I don't need to go anywhere until Friday or Saturday and won't have any trouble getting the Ranger out of the driveway. Will be a few days before I'll be driving the Miata.

Don't like the snow down here but this late wet snow will definitely help with the mountain snowpack.

37° and sunny. 1st cup of coffee in the Gadsen cup is done. Sausage is sizzling, with eggs and toast. Body is sore from way to much fun in the dirt and yard yesterday , but I beat the rain. Weather report was way wrong. More work today, but it's looking good. Cheers!

Gene, you need a good old pickup truck with a plow. Then you can plow out the neighbors as well.
Damn, I ran out of Gin last night. I know, not coffee, but I do like my Martinis in the evening. Had to
substitute Vodka. Just not the same.
