Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
43 heading to 65 with partly sunny skies in the forecast. After a great weekend of rain including a thunder storm that had hail so intense I lost my TV satellite signal for a short while. Today’s 43 feels much colder than the dry 40’s we have had recently. High humidity out there with some light fog.
Today I’ll finish the dog run I started yesterday which got interrupted by football and then the storm. It’s going to be a nice late summer early fall day to be outside.

Partly Cloudy 70°F 21°C
Rain moving in and looks like a really wet 24 hours coming up.
Folgers, double chocolate cookies and a chocolate Cruller.
Closed the pool yesterday and the painting is done, so..... I'm taking
a day of ease.

Folgers and well, you know.
Going shooting this morning. A friend found a box of .32 Long Colt and I can have
them for free if he gets to shoot the rifle.
Deal!
It's my Marlin 1892 lever gun. Fun gun to shoot but I have to reload ammo for it.

38 heading to the lower 70 with sunshine on tap. Saw some light frost on the northern exposures of my roof.
After the weekend’s soaking today I’ll be mowing the treed area around my house. I’ve been waiting for a good rain so I can do this without sitting in a cloud of dust. Kinda like Pig Pen from the old Charlie Brown comics.
Several nice days coming with sunshine and 70’s in the forecast.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Not much morning left here on the first day of Fall but right now it's 89° and is supposed to get up to mid-90's. There's a cool front coming through and the weather gal says we'll have our first morning in the upper 60's tomorrow morning in quite a long time. Just had a bowl of cereal and coffee this morning.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
60 then going to 72. Rain off and on predicted for today.
Coffee with "plain Jane" this morning.
Yesterday I picked all the butternut and acorn squash that were fit for picking. About 1/3 had begun to rot where they sat. Just too much rain this year. All of the pumpkins have rotted in place. I picked the last of the cucumbers as well. I'll take down that fence and disc in that garden when the rain stops in a day or two. Hopefully I can make sauce this weekend.
Today I wait for the new living room furniture to be delivered. Not a bad job. A three hour target window. The new leather recliner is in that order. I've never had a recliner before. I'm more of an ottoman person. I guess I'll get used to it.
Enjoy your day, what ever you are up to.

40 heading to 73 with partly sunny skies and some winds to 25 on tap. That ought to take a bunch of pine needles out of the trees.
Need to mow the lawn today and take a look at the list of fall projects I made up. No harm in looking, right?

Folgers and Black Walnut Cookies.
I have a black walnut tree and I compete with the squirrels for them every Fall.
Last night Carol made a batch of cookies with them for flavoring. Love them.
Growing up my Mother used to make black walnut cakes and frosting. It was really good.
Yard work and some paint touch up today, and then the gun club this afternoon with
beer and wings to follow.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
46 heading to 71 with a thin overcast. Pretty nice day for the beginning of fall.
After it warms up a bit I plan to pull the boat out of the shop and give it a good washing. Then back inside for the off season. I’ll put a tender on each battery and say, “see ya in the spring”.
We had a trip scheduled for this week going to a lake a couple of hours west of Spokane. We had planned to take the trailer and the boat but with the arrival of the new pup we canceled. That was a great call, he’s wearing us out here at home with lots of room to roam. Couldn’t imagine being in a small trailer with this bundle of energy.

50 going to mid 60's with plenty of sun. It will be a beautiful sunny day.
Coffee with "plain Jane" this morning.
Waiting for the last of the furniture delivery. I will also attempt to redo / repair / remount the cell phone booster antenna that blew over in the high winds. I used a mount that seemed a bit flimsy and a wooden mast. Today I'm replacing the wooden mast with a shorter PVC tubular mast with a much stronger bracket. Got to have a good cell phone signal while the better half is still working.

A front is moving in from the west with rain in the offing this morning. Then it
should clear out and be nice for the next week.
I was shucking black walnuts yesterday and the plastic glove sprung a leak and now
I have a very black thumb. Any ideas how to remedy that?
