I talked to my neighbor farmer friend yesterday. He said the crops are in dire straits here.
I mentioned that he had irrigation and he should be OK, but he told me the 56 degree water
puts the corn into shock so it really isn't that great. I didn't know that.

Funny you should mention that. No news on test results yet, but it's supposed to be nothing serious.
Female problems.
Carol also dwells on the news and gets pretty upset. I try to tell her not to and have faith, but she still does.
I just turn if off and go shooting or work on the estate. This place is my health club. Lots to do.
I'm harvesting walnuts right now and wild grapes are next. (They make really good wine. ).

Went from record flooding and torrential rain yesterday to 70's at the moment and sunny. Had to scare a yearling bear off the deck this morning to get down to the 4wheeler so I could ride down the mountain to assess the damage.

Woke up to a very nice 51 this morning with an expected high to remain in the 70’s. Just a day in paradise here. Just returned from snooping at the home that’s being built next door (gotta get there before the framers arrive) and again put a light sweatshirt on. Loving every minute of it after all those upper 90’s and triple digits.

Planning on taking the trailer out of the shop today and start prepping it for next weeks trip. I was planning on doing so on Saturday but we might get some rain and I don’t want to do it while it’s raining. I have to pull a bunch of stuff out of the way to get it out and I don’t want to soak everything. We may do some casual fishing next week so I need to get to the store and get some fresh line for the reels. Haven’t touched a fishing rod in 20 years.

We may do some casual fishing next week so I need to get to the store and get some fresh line for the reels. Haven’t touched a fishing rod in 20 years.

It's been a while for us as well. I took the old ski boat in and had a new trim and tilt and steering mechanism installed this Spring.
Now I just need to replace the batteries and we can use it again. It's a nice boat but pretty old. The good thing is I have a new canopy and bow cover on it so I can stay out of the sun. I also have a Minnkota trolling motor mounted on the transom which I like a lot.

On the down side we live on a small lake and a few days ago I thought I'd dig some worms and go down to the dock and see what I could catch. I dug up ground all around the place and no worms were found. Only dry earth. I replaced a fence post a couple of days ago and dug down over three feet and it was all dry powder. We are hurting.

59 heading to around 80 with partly cloudy skies. A little bit of smoke with a red sun rising but it’s not nearly as bad as in recent days. Playing golf today but not teeing off until 11:30 so I’ll be doing a little putting around this morning.

Right now it's 92° and sunny. Not supposed to have any rain the next few days! I cooked eggs, bacon, toast and coffee for breakfast this morning. Spent the morning helping the wife get my sis-in-law up in her wheel chair and loaded to go to a Dr's appointment. It always takes about 30 to 40 minutes no matter how it goes. Her dog isn't doing well (sis-n' law) and there's been some talk of taking it to the vet one final time later today. I'll leave that decision to her.

Going to hit 90s today and humid. Getting a truck and meeting my Great Niece's husband to move a lathe and couple of other tools from their basement home to my shop. Going to suck and I hope I can walk tomorrow. Have a great Saturday everyone.

57 heading up into the upper 70’s maybe the lower 80’s. We had some much welcome rain overnight along with some not so welcome thunder and lightning. No local news on yet so fingers crossed no new fires were started.

Yesterday while I was toiling away on the golf course my wife completely prepped the inside of the trailer for next weeks trip. Bless her!

I’m meeting a guy this morning to buy a Ruger Single Seven that I’ve been lusting for the last several weeks. I’ll take a picture of it buy sadly I’ll have to leave it at the LGS while my background check is completed. This will take 6-10 days so the wait continues. It’s the Lipsey’s Exclusive with the 4 5/8” barrel, XS Big Dot front sight with a v-notch rear and Black macarata grips. It has a non-fluted cylinder which I’m not partial too but I can live with it.

I don't think they made them with a fluted cylinder but I might be mistaken. Mine's not flute either. Currently 84° with 73% humidity. Just had cereal and coffee this morning.
