Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Bummer Al. 13* with a -4 chill on the River. The dogs were't to thrilled about the snow and ice. Two of the dogs are too young to know winter. We got blowing snow and sleet approximately 3"deep so far. Forecast says more snow this afternoon and night. Tapering off Monday AM. Shared a couple of Lemon creme cookies with dogs. Petted head of wife and wished her a Happy Valentine on way to coffee pot.

Wow Randy is up early probably getting things in order to watch the big race. Got up about 345 to take the dogs out one of them had to go. Got dressed hooked up the leash opened the door grabbed on to the hand rail which was wet from the light rain. Hand slipped lost my balance and crashed. Shoved the handrail into my head and gashed it opened. Happy Valentines Day. Just got back a little while ago had 10 staples put in my head. Gonna put some of that grip tape on that rail should be on there anyway. 36 right now headed to 41. Might need whiskey in my coffee

Oh man, that's gotta hurt. Take it easy and heal up. Glad I'm not old like you, maybe time for a walker buddy. An 1847 Colt walker...

34°this morning around 7:00 a.m. Made flapjacks, bacon, and coffee. Contractors are pretty much finished except for a few touches. I feel like I've been moving furniture all week. I did get my shop back together and have on instrument to get off the bench today. I'll spend the rest of the day getting a few things back in place.

My wife treated her hair with some kind of a fish oil treatment and left it in overnight. It stinks! She was up before me this morning and when I got up I patted her on the arm and wished her a happy Valentine’s Day. Told her I couldn’t pat her head because it smelled like a fishes butt.

Now how’s that for a good start to Valentine’s Day?

Thankfully she has a great sense of humor and I know my limits..........

She called me a toddery ole fool. I did kiss her after I came back inside with the dogs. I couldn't feel my lips. She shrieked and said it was like kissing a corpse. I said "Whatever".

Thanks for the well wishes. Couple of Alieves and some tylenol and its all good. Got some attitude when I didn’t want to go to emergency care so I went. At least I served up some red for Valentines Day.

Let's just say we went through some real nasty crap with him for a few years, so we are very pleased he is getting his act together. For a long time he was a textbook lost soul. His new fiancé is an American gal and very grounded, loves family and wants kids. And it sure looks like they think the world of each other. That's a good start.

He got into some real bad trouble, and I remember telling him you don't realize it but I'm the only friend you've got right now. Kids. Oh well, days long past and his future never looked better.

Another day on the way... this one bitter cold outside... but I have a warm little house so I should not complain...
When its light and I can see someone else beside the snowplow going past on the highway I will head out to the other farm, get the tractor plugged in and hope in an hour or two it will start, and when it does, give the cattle some more hay... then knock ice out of the water tanks... and get back inside for the day...two more cold mornings and then the deep freeze eases up some they say....so right now I'm sipping my first coffee and reading my Bible verses..... waiting on the dawn......hope all you folks have a happy safe day in your world......
