Our Morning Coffee and Weather

30° and party cloudy. 2 cups of good coffee and breakfast is done. Ribs and back are doing OK, and we're still unpacking and setting up the house. Hope I never do this again. I sure miss our mountain cabin, and particularly my gun range. It's hard to adjust to traffic noise, and the night sky is ruined by lights. The wife is happy, and I guess I'll just have to adjust. It's hard being a mountain man living in the country suburbs . I had it good, and at least i can say that. Cheers

Thats a bummer Moetur. I hope you adjust. Is there anywhere to shoot close by where you are living now. I take it the wife just didnt like that mountain cabin life anymore. Windy here today and its only supposed to hit 32. Glad I went shooting Monday. Probably wont get to shoot again for a few months.

Cleared snow from 6am to 11am yesterday. We got lots. Over a foot. Wind is blowing hard today too. 25F. Tea in Henry mug then wife and I go to visit her mum’s grave. Yesterday our son and his gal came for supper. They live about 7 hrs away.

Glad to hear you're on the mend. Just hang in there. Sorry you've lost your backyard range. Had to stop mine, got too many people around me now. Guy behind me has horses, and ride there.
Can't seem to get away from cross for very long. Building houses like crazy. Dirt's getting scarce around here, and they're not making anymore.

Christmas Eve weather in our part of the world is supposed to be "unsettled" at best .... 54 on its way to 68 .... "Severe thunderstorms; storms can bring downpours, damaging winds and even an isolated tornado" .... subfreezing temps moving back in Christmas Day .... the turkey we put into the smoker last night at 11PM .... 1 more present to wrap .... eggs seasoned with our SPG, local sausage and Folgers

18 heading to 34 with what appears to be sunny skies as it’s starting to get light out. Planning on making a trip into Spokane to drop off some gifts to family. No get together this year, son in CA is staying home and son in Spokane is traveling to Arizona to visit his in-laws. Mrs. Hatchdog and I plan to stay home and enjoy some prime rib tomorrow. Maybe watch Christmas movies all day.

What a difference, two years ago we had 14 for dinner and boy was it crowded. Had a bunch from California up and they had a great football game outside in the snow. Fortunately for me I had to monitor dinner so I didn’t “get” to play

Hit 80° yesterday. Might make lower 50's today. It was 40° this morning with winds gusting to 25 mph. Had a bowl of rolled oats, toast, and coffee.
Not going to do anything today except play guitar and watch bowl games. (not at the same time!)

Headed out to her sons house in Evergreen here shortly. Its a nice day here supposed to be mid 40's and then in the 50's the next couple of days. Should be ok weather to load up the 5er to leave Monday.

Our fantastic run of weather has continued for Christmas day, overnight temps around 50 and daytime around 80.

Merry Christmas all. 16 going to 23 with 4-5 inches of fresh snow. Getting on the snow blower soon to clean my area and the neighbor lady's then cooking the prime rib. Taking it to my sister's and meet up with my niece and get my sister's snow blower running. She could not get hers running. Have a safe day.

21 heading to 34 for Christmas Day. Then 3-5” of snow predicted overnight tonight so it looks like plowing will be in order tomorrow.

Prime Rib is on the menu here too. Family tradition is to have a large breakfast on Christmas morning so even tho we have no guests this year my wife and I are planning sausage, eggs, homemade fried potatoes and English muffins. Way to early to think about right now but when the time is right........

with 5 grandchildren, one being 3 and another being 4, Christmas morning began early .... we did see some snow before daylight as a cold front pushed rain out of our area ..... temp dropping .... 34 right now on it way down to 20 tonight with a strong wind .... great breakfast of crock pot version of a Mountain Man's Breakfast along with and assortment of homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee cake ....

I guess it's just me and the Misses for Christmas dinner. It's snowing to hard for my youngest boy to make it down the mountain. Bummer.

A cold 37° this morning for this part of the country. Air is unusually dry so had to find my chapstick this morning. Don't usually have to use it in these parts. Cooked bacon, eggs, and toast for breakfast. Merry Christmas.
