9:00 AM and 83* and going to be a hot and humid 95* in the area today. We had so much rain yesterday evening that I got hit by three drops putting my truck windows up and that included walking across the yard and back. It seems to rain around us when it does rain at all. My wife and I are both off all week for our anniversary so it is hard to say what she may have in mind. She will probably force me to go to some gun shops with her. ;)

Morning all from Jonesboro, GA. A really miserable 82 degrees this morning. But it is July, and it is like this every year. Seems like the older I get the more the extreme heat, and conversely extreme cold, affects me in a negative manner. A little rain yesterday, not as much as needed, but at least some. Take care and be safe.

Just noticed you were from Jonesboro, GA, have you ever made it to Moss Pawn to visit Eric from IV8888? I'd love to do that sometime when in the Atlanta area. He counts as a celebrity as far as I'm concerned!

While I'm here drinking coffee as well.... Orange County California will have nice weather as usual, and today I golf instead of going into the office. Not a bad day!

When they had bracket raceing . I think it's a shoping mall now. Was a great dragstrip.

It is going to be hot today!

This morning my husband took a huge truck load of stuff to the Food Bank. The workers/volunteers carried it in for him using small and large carts. He moves it off the truck bed. After he made that run, he donated a few more movies to our county library. He picked up our mail and came home.

He is crashing for a couple of hours before he goes into work later on this afternoon.

Take care.

Hi biglever, I had never heard of it until you mentioned it. I looked it up and apparently its been close for over 30 years! I live not too far from the site. Orange County ( Irvine in particular) has seen tremendous growth in the tine since.

Hey JCN, yes I know who Eric is and I have visited Moss Pawn many, many times. Eric is about the only reason to go to that particular gun store. I have lived in this area all my life, 64 years, and remember when Moss Pawn opened. I have yet to buy anything from them. I still visit the store, but they cater to a "different" customer. I continue to hope to find something because I enjoy visiting with Eric, but so far, I just visit. Hope you get to visit this area soon.

Yeah I imagine they cater to the handgun and shotgun crowd, maybe more tactically focused. That said, Eric posts some great Henry videos to his YouTube channel. I actually linked a video to a Mare's Leg SBR video he did (in the 'Other Henry's' forum). He seems to be very knowledgeable in all types of firearms including Milsurps and lever guns.

I made my first ever trip to Georgia earlier this year. My family mostly lives on the East Coast and they wanted to meet up for a short family vacation. We rented a house near Lake Oconee which was very nice.

Morning all from Jonesboro, GA. 87 degrees at 7:15 pretty much says all that needs to be said, hot, hazy and humid. Going to be a scorcher today. Take care and be safe.

Good morning from Chambersburg, Pa. It's 78* here at 8:13 and it appears that the worst of the heat is over. Supposed to get to 92* today and then in the mid 80's for the rest of the week. Had some nice rain last night and possibly some more by the weekend. Having one cup of Italian roast this morning with donuts.

Thunderstorms hanging around southern Alberta. It's ok, any rain is good rain. Tea in the Henry mug.

It's in the 60's this am and feels so good, wish it would stay there.
Looked out the front door, and all my bird feeders are still hanging were they were last night, going to be a good day.
Enjoy

Having one cup this morning. It is 72* now at 7:20 and to get to 90* today with less humidity, probably wash the RAV4 and do some shopping. Everyone have a nice day.
