Whew! KCMO is not over the heat hump yet! We've been under an extreme heat warning all week, and it was to end tomorrow night. But it's been extended until late Sunday now.

Today was a scorcher. My patio thermometer hung at 101* most of the afternoon. On a short trip to the store mid-afternoon, the van temp hit 106*. Always thankful that the van A/C keeps on pumping out the cool air!!

Through the weekend, each afternoon we could hit heat indices of 105-110*. Tomorrow real temp prediction is 100*, with parts of our area expecting heat indices of 110-115*, or higher. October is too far away for me!!

I think I have one or two "older" eggs in the fridge. Maybe I'll just see if I can fry one tomorrow afternoon on the concrete patio!!

Finishing up my coffee , the Sun is starting to peek over the hill and light up the swamp.
Going to walk over the mountain to the fort, and pick up my mail, for the month.

Nice summers temps here. 70's. Just having morning tea, then practice some songs and poems for a Cowboy Dinner Theater show I'm playing Saturday night at a guest ranch. Should be a good time. Have a great day all.

Morning all from Jonesboro, GA. It is 81 degrees, hazy, hot and humid!!! It is not a good day to work in the yard! So, I am staying inside, running the AC, and drinking coffee. More great pics biglever. I would take a picture, but no one likes seeing steam coming off asphalt. Take care and be safe.

Just a nice summer day here with 96* predicted. Not really very nice, but once in a while we have a summer like this in this area. Temperatures are to be above normal for the rest of July. It is the farmers that I feel sorry for here, and all over the country. Having a cup of Italian Roast in my NYPD mug this morning. Soon ready to hit the road for the day.Image

73* at 7:00 AM and headed to 96* today. Stayed hot and muggy all night. We are in need of a good couple days of rain here. Creeks and rivers are very low right now. Having my coffee now in my big Henry mug and maybe go out side and sit on the back porch while it is still cool. Take care and have a great Sunday.

Sounds like this hot summertime is all around the country!

Today's prediction in KCMO is the start of a "cooler" week. It's supposed to reach only 95* for a high plus the excessive humidity continues. Then throughout this work week we'll have a further "cool down" into the upper 80s. Then back well into the 90s again...for however long.

My picture is not in the woods, but out of my den window a few winters ago.
Agree exactly with the weather you are waiting for....me, too!
