the orange towels purchased for our sons, grandson and me will not lead a glamorous life as photographic models .. :? .. rather they will be working range towels .. ;) .. as such they will soon need to be laundered .... I'm uncertain as to the type of fabric they are made from, it almost has a canvas feel .... any special washing instructions to help preserved the color and to hopefully soften them up a bit .. :?:
I learned a lot about fabric working on this project.

These are a 100% Cotton "twill" weave, but a heavy one. Not quite duck-cloth/canvas (which has more to do with the direction the threads are woven), but very sturdy. This is a "10 oz" cotton twill, meaning that a square yard has a nominal weight of 10 ounces.

I laundered both the orange and pink towels as part of the process, so machine washing is easy in warm water/warm rinse (NO bleach!) and tumble dry. They do soften up with laundering. There's a "sizing" that renders the stiff finish in the dyeing process.

Way more than I wanted to know, so now you all know, too!

Is this any better? My 357 and 45 Colt. The 357 is factory tuned, I did not know what that meant but you can sure feel the difference.

I'll copy and paste it into a new thread. "Range Towel Care and Maintenance" or some such thing.

Went to Minnesota this past week to me some Scoundrels for some pheasant hunting and sporting clays.
Some bring state flags, and I added a pink towel. :)
