Exciting bottom of the ninth in the second KC-Tigers game.

Back-to-back homers by Gordon & Perez.
A walk for Dyson.
Dyson stole second.
Another walk.
Then two outs.
Strike out by Moustakas left two men on base.
KC 2 -- Tigers 3

No "W" tonight, but fun to watch!

The streak is over for the Braves, they lost to the Dodgers in classic fashion. They are only 7 games back of the division leader, on April 21st. Oh boy!

Giants are not playing well right now. They just got swept by Arizona and have lost 6 of their last 7 games

What a fun night spent at the 'ole ball park -- actually two ball parks! :D

KC hung another center-field "W" again: KC 4 Detroit 0 Left-fielder Alex Gordon made a fantastic diving catch running from left into the outfield track almost in center field. KC players were gawking at that play, and held their hats in the air. The Royals crowd gave Gordon a standing ovation, and the game was stalled for it all! News reports called it an "unreal catch."

But in the last inning of the KC game, our station provide a simulcast of the last inning or so of the Cubbies vs Reds game -- a very exciting ending there. Cubs pitcher Jake Arrietta threw a no-hitter, which was only the 11th no-hitter since 1900! Great ending, fun game.

Oh yes, Cubs won the game 16 to zip :!:

Congrats to Arrietta on the 2nd no hitter!

Well, the Braves lost their 2nd in a row to the Dodgers. Losing to Clayton Kershaw, a true top pitcher, is not horrible, but they had chances to win the game and just were not able to get the job done. Let's see, lose 9 games to start the season, win 4 games to try and catch up, lose two games to cement their hold on last place. I am afraid this is the way the Braves season will go.

Well, it has been tough being a Braves fan for the last two years. Having the worst record in baseball is not much fun. But hey, they are playing for the future, according to their illustrious management team. Now, it was fun when they had Maddox, Glavine, Smoltz, Jones and a few others. But three of those are already in the Hall of Fame, and Jones will most likely be in on the first ballot as well. Not nearly as much fun now, but to quote many others, "there is always next year!".

Reporting from KCMO on game 1 of 3-game series between Royals and Orioles.

Royals 4/Orioles 2
KC is still in 1st place in the ALC, 11-5, one game ahead of White Sox.

'Twas a beautiful evening with perfect weather, temp in upper 50s --> mid 60s, mild wind.
Sounds like a good mix for a range day, too.

The Yankees finally won one but are in last place. The Phillies won also and are in the middle of the pack.

I am starting to sound like a broken record. The Braves lost, they are in last place, they have the worst record in baseball, blah, blah, blah. The good news is....uh....well...you see.....however........yeah, there is no good news!

Top of the ninth at the moment, Sir Henry, and KC is down 8-3 playing the Orioles in game 2. It looks like no "W" will be hung in the outfield tonight....but I still will watch the bottom of the inning!!

Since you also like the Royals along with your M's, it should be a relaxing and enjoyable series for you to watch next week! ;)

Yankees and the Phillies won today. I like a team in each league. :D On a roll for a couple of days now, we'll see what tomorrow brings. Right now I am watching the Pirates and the Diamondbacks.

Well, the Braves lost another one. They continue to flounder, but that is to be expected. I will say they are playing hard. Dang it is tough to fine something good to say about the Braves team. They are just not very talented, and are playing below their talent. lol
