1952, the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s were a great time to grow up. None of the nonsense we have now.

Boomer here. Born on this day in 1957. Great day as a kid to have your birthday on as it always was a school holiday celebrating George Washington’s Birthday. Then in the 70’s (?) the holiday was changed to Presidents Day and made a “Monday” holiday. Worked for me, the best years to have your birthday off from school was in the early years.

Happy belated Vaquero...... :D

December 1950, the 50's & 60's were great times to grow up, things were slower and easier. I remember my dad giving me $2 & I would go to the 1st Ellias Bros. Big Boy a dining car, 4 booths and a long counter. I would get a Big Boy (the original double decker), onion rings and a malt. Good rock & roll music, summer vacations, Bob-LO amusement park. My dad worked nights, so in the summer so he could sleep he would take us to Belle Isle, my brothers & I would swim & dad would sleep in the shade, on the way to Belle Isle we would stop at Better Made potato chip factory, watch the chips being made and getting a couple of bags of Fresh Hot chips sooooooooo good. Pick up baseball in the summer, football in the fall & hockey in the winter. :)
These memories and others get me thru all the CRAP we have to put up with now! Memories and a ample supply of ammo ;)
I love my country but I fear my government
