pig hunt
pig hunt
I have been looking for a place to pig hut but not having much luck. looking for a guided hunt with lodging. live in Wisconsin but am of course willing to travel (not Florida ) Texas looks good. my problem is the places I have contacted will not let only one person book a hunt need a party of at least two. I am 68 and do not have any friends and do not expect to make any before I want to hunt.
Re: pig hunt
Welcome to the forum! Here's a place in TN that Google turned up for me. Don't know a thing about it, but it doesn't appear that they require you to come in a group.

Re: pig hunt
Spent a little time looking at ESquared's suggestion to glb; mainly because of "lodge" (the wood structures), and TN location. I always have wanted to live in a log house. Anyway, I found they have four lodges, which are mostly furnished with wood furniture.
Looks like a very nice overall set up in the TN hills. Always enjoyed traveling through that state; mainly have done visits with a good friend, who lives in Lookout Mountain, TN.
But most interesting was the list of animals they "stock" for hunts -- pretty impressive selection. I've not heard of most of the ones they show in their species list. I thought this one was an exceptionally beautiful animal -- the Axis Deer.
A pig it is not!
Here is the photo from their website. PT7

That's great that ESquared's suggestion "looks perfect" to you, Glb. I thought the offerings displayed on their website looked cool, too.glb wrote:the TN hunt was one I did not find in any of my searches . Keep us posted, if you do set up a TN pig hunt...or even if elsewhere. And it would be interesting to learn what firearm you might be planning to use, too.

Happy to have been able to help! Please keep us posted on the plans, timing and outcome. Take lots of pictures and let us know how it goes, including, as noted above, what you plan to shoot with. Looks like some big, ol' pigs down there in TN!glb wrote:I just booked the TN hunt talked to them on the phone and it looks and sounds great thank you for finding it
