Had enough of the lying weatherman!

Post by fortyshooter » Mon Mar 11, 2019 4:54 pm

So this morning the local TV weather guys saying a nice 68-70 degrees and SUNSHINE today which we haven't had any of lately.
Planning my day out to finish up some work on my utility trailer and then this afternoon fire up my ol' Mustang to run it a bit.

Well the sun was coming out around 11:00 AM and it was getting in the 60's then come 1:30 and thinking of Mustang I notice the
dark gray wall of clouds moving in from SWest.
Pull up radar and looks green and coming our way. By 3:30 all overcast sun gone away and temp drops...never made it no where near 70.
No Mustanging today!
I want to get into those 4 bbl. carbs again darn it!!!!

Weather forecasting is clearly not an exact science; variables, variables, variables. One degree warmer here or there, low or high pressure located one degree north or south, east or west and the whole darned equation changes before you can say "sunny today".

I do hope you get that beautiful engine fired up and roaring soon, but watch out for that deer sprinting across the road when you open her up!

I feel your pain. It seems to rain every weekend in Eastern NC. Maybe I need to get a Henry All Weather just so I can shoot some. Either that or coat my other Henrys in RainX or Flex Seal. Ha, ha!

Here in Central NYS we haven’t had a spring in a few years. Winter continues through April and summer begins in May.

We've got a pretty good geographic distribution of members here, and it seems like we're ALL ready for winter to be over! And, I'm with you, Shawlerbrook, let's have a few weeks of actual spring this time around. Here it is mid-March in KC and we may see a snow flake or two tomorrow. We got our first measurable snow in mid-October.

Crazy.

Thanks Rifletom! I bought it new in 1985 and it was a 5.0 5spd. bare bones LX. Still original paint all but hood and I built that engine back in 2009.
Supposed to be in the 60's today so might get some seat time!!
