Terry Murbach died in Rapid City, SD last Friday. I have not seen an obit for him yet. I read this on Paco's old, original gun forum.
My MT husband and I were talking about seeing SD this summer and going shooting with him. Judy and Terry never made it out to our gun range here in Montana.
Famous gun author, smart gun man, well known on many forums. He worked for Cor-Bon and Black Hills too.
His late Mom knew my late husband's family back in farm/lake country. Same county. Small world.
Terry moved out west while my late husband was still alive.
Terry aka Wes Dakota and the late Lee Jurras (Super Vel fame and he built some very well known guns too. Auto Mag and others.) were some of my first old friends in guns when I first got into buying my own guns. Late 90's and on.

My late husband and I spoke to Lee several times before my late husband died. I spoke to Lee after I moved to Montana too.
Terry and Lee were kind to me as a Newbie In Guns in emails and on the telephone.
Lee was into inventions and prototypes. My late husband did NOT design guns but he was into all kinds of things including some prototypes - machines.
Terry and Lee were very opinionated. OLD school gentleman yet feisty when it came to fools in the gun world.
May Terry rest in peace. He was a kind and generous man to many gun folks. Newbies and old timers too.
Blessings to his family and friends across this nation and world.

Re: Another good man died~~~
I never made it to IN to see Lee and his wife with my late husband. I never made it to New Mexico to see Lee and his wife. We were invited.
I remember when he was trying to sell his house back in IN and move back to New Mexico. For a brief time, he and his wife were in NC (?) with their daughter if my memory serves me right.
I never made it to SD to see Judy and Terry.
It is one of those things where my late husband used to tell me - should have, could have, would have, etc.
Between hearing of this today and some other sad news... man alive... it makes one think. Life is too short!

It's so sad Catherine when great people pass cause we know they cannot be replaced. I'll say a little prayer for Terry and all of you.............
