off for a few days

Post by Sir Henry » Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:54 pm

I have all day testing on Thursday and Friday so might not be around much for a few days. Today is the start of the dreaded "prep" and it is a real pain in the....., well it is a pain.

I've got to schedule the probe sometime in the near future. Did one about 10 years ago. The biggest issue for me was getting that nasty stuff down the gullet. Best of luck.

Lol. “Prep” is a word that strikes fear in those of us who are over 50. :)

I recently turned 65 and have been putting off having my second one for a few years now and am going to ask my doctor if I can get away with having a Cologuard test. The procedure itself is no big deal but the day before prep sucks.

Just remember preparing and the procedure are much nicer than cancer.

I would much rather have the procedure than a blind test deciding if I had cancer or not.

Actually I had Cashew Chicken last night.

My few days off turned out to be almost two weeks. But everything came out okay in the end. Just a tad more invasive than I would have liked.

At age 75 I no longer get any test done or any medical procedures done . . It is time for me to make room for someone else in this world .

I'm not ready to check out just yet but I don't get my PSA checked anymore for cancer. If it comes back I don't want to know.

I leave in two weeks from today. I'll let you know when I'm in the area but I suspect it will be around the 22nd or 23rd.
