Here is the magazine intro paragraph:
And here is the web link to a story about this competition, as written by a lady who competed in the first-time PRC. This article also is published by American Rifleman: https://www.americanrifleman.org/articl ... challenge/Executing a well-placed shot from the 300-yard mark is a fairly simple proposition with most modern centerfire rifle chamberings. But the same shot, with a rimfire rifle? That's another story. At that range, drops for the .22 Long Rifle begin to approach 20 feet, and full-value wind drifts can be counted in tens of yards, rather than inches or feet. Add to the scenario multiple target engagements, a shot time and the physical stresses of positional shooting, and you have yourself a match.
2018 matches are already scheduled to happen at the Peacemaker National Training in Gerrardstown, WV. http://peacemakernational.com/events?l= ... ventID=990
If your live within decent driving distance of this range, you might want to have some competitive fun!. All that is needed is to get your .22 rifles ready, gather up some .22LR ammo, and especially practice-practice-practice!!
