When Woodworking...

I hope you enjoyed the thread. I know it's not a woodworking forum, but I was asked to put up my next project. I don't mind, but don't want to post something not welcome here. I have a couple firearms related projects coming up in the shop... I will certainly post those. LOL.

Your range box turned out very nice. Shooting ppc, we needed something to carry from line to line, over and over, as we shot several matches on match day. Service revolver, service auto, distinguished (for points), 600, 1500, Team matches. Sheesh.
You get the idea.

Originally I made it with a slide in drawer to hold 3 guns [ 22 HS , 1911 and SW revolver ] for the matches . Then I convert it as a box to reload ammo at the range on the bench , in the bottom pic you can see a Redding powder measurer . I made another box for loading black power guns. .

Great idea if you are benchresting...
From the size of the barrel on the puppy in that pic, I'd guess there aren't many rapid fire strings.
I usually took two boxes, the plastic tray that went out out the line with loaded mags/speedloaders, cleaning rods, etc.
The second wooden box held tools... spare parts, extra this and that...

That gun is 2 1/4 " dia and is 41 lbs . I let new shoots like youth and the lady shoot that one . It was very forgiving . I shoot the gun below that I made in all my matches .
