Heard a little about this on the news and found a link of how many states allow teachers to carry guns in schools. I do know it's proposed in my state of Ohio. My sister is a teacher of mentally challenged children in not too good of an inner city area. I would feel better knowing She's protected. She has a permit, but as of now is not allowed to even have a gun on school property.

Re: Teachers carrying guns in school
If it makes a potential gunman think twice about entering a school, then it can only be a good idea. It's a sad world where this type of thing even needs to be considered, but it would be a whole lot sadder if another child or teacher was to die at the hands of a madman.

I am for it as long as there is total responsibility, and this covers a lot of ground. Now, I realize that this is an isolated incident. This happened right here in the town where I live, not too long ago, and may never happen again?:
