The Adult Evening Beverage
Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
I keep Yuengling Lager in the house in case we have guests. Don't drink much alcohol at all but when I'm in the mood I do enjoy a Yuengling.

Very cool neighbor you have there Hatch.
We were enjoying a few yesterday out on the backporch while the grandkids and some friends played in the pool.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Not record heat today, but pretty hot. 94 right now. We have a pool from the days of raising children, so this afternoon
I mixed some ice, Maker's Mark and Diet Pepsi and got into the water. It was really nice.
Then I BBQd some chicken and we had that with sweet corn on the cob and a nice macaroni salad.
Life is good.
Now I'll hit the old recliner and have a couple Martinis this evening.
Gotta get up in the morning for the Vet's coffee and pastries.

It was hot and a bit humid today. I had lot's to do and was sweating profusely most of the day. After dinner, I'm enjoying a couple of vodka and sevens. #2 is going down smoothly. #3 will likely be on deck soon. I did have plenty of water to regain what was lost in perspiring today. Now it's rest and relaxation time. I'm hanging out with Copper and enjoying a cool evening breeze.

Tip of the cup to all. Morning right now so coffee’s in the cup. We went to dinner the other night at a Texas Roadhouse and I enjoyed an Old Fashioned. My son has made them for me in the past but they look too complicated for this old bourbon drinker to make.
It was good!

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Just cruised the drive in my 4 wheeler and there are abundant Goose Berries and Blackberries if the kids want to pick them tomorrow for fun.
Of course I ate a couple handfuls of the Blackberries as I checked.
Got a brand new bottle of Maker's Mark and now I'm going to pour a small one with a cold water chaser and sit on the deck and listen to the birdies.
Skol to y'all.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Enjoying this Yuengling for now but did just pick up a fresh bottle of Tanqueray London Dry Gin for tomorrow’s festivities. We’ll be spending the 4th on my wife’s cousin’s patio watching the locals shoot off fireworks on the golf course. Mrs hatchdog has agreed to drive the three miles to home so I may enjoy more than one.

Cheers back mark and to all!

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Tanqueray is my choice for sure, but it's stronger than plain Gin so I usually have one and then switch
over to the cheaper stuff. After one I can't really taste much anyway.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Well, the kids just left. We had a great day around the pool and then a great cook out.
My little four year old Great Grand Daughter and I went for a ride in the four wheeler and found a
Blackberry patch which she tried for her first time. He though they were Yummy!
Now it's just Carol and I again and believe me the quiet is restful. Lots of goings on for old folks you know.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Just had to snap a pic of my 4th of July dinner. Steak, baked, corn and salad. And a gin and tonic or two or…….
My wife drove home.
