Is the Private Message option working this morning?

I have tried to send a forum member a PM several times but I don't think I was successful. I also sent myself a test message but it doesn't appear to have been successful either.

Of course, it may be operator error.

I think operator error is afoot here.

I found that if I preview the message before submitting I may be successful. Maybe

I went ahead and sent one to you. I tried sending it without previewing, and it appeared to send it, although looking at the "Sent Box" it didn't show up. It is, however, in my "Outbox". Perhaps that is because you haven't opened it yet.

Once you click 'Submit', the message goes to your Outbox. It sits in the Outbox until the recipient logs in (or is already logged in). The message then moves to your Sent folder and their Inbox. The recipient gets a Notification message flag on their view of the forum tool bar near their username. The flag isn't particularly flashy, so it's easy to overlook. That said, if they did not enable private messaging notifications in their User Profile, there won't be a recipient notification and they would not know a message is waiting in their Inbox.
