Wasn’t “mag” wheels short for Magnesium? Don’t remember for sure.

Yes and magnesium burns and since it contains its own oxygen you cannot put it out with water or suffocating it.
Overall a bad idea.

VW used to have engines made of magnesium and I have seen them along the highway burned to cinders and
the fire dept could not put them out. Now days I think they have the means to do so.

There's not much cooler or better sounding than a Hemi Cuda, especially a survivor like that! Beautiful car. Glad you got to be part of that and thanks for sharing.

My first car was a '68 Coronet R/T, 440 Magnum auto. The only thing I've ever sold that I wish I had back.
