LED lighting for the home

I have replaced about 90% of my home lighting with LED's. It was a bit expensive especially because I bought dimmable lights and put in special dimmers for LED's but in the end the lights are fantastic. If I turn on every LED light on bright I'm burning less than two hundred watts and on low its only about twenty watts. Its low enough that I can light the entire house in a nice soft glow and not use a ton of electricity.

Bill has added a few of those, too, and had to replace the dimmer, as mentioned, to one that works with the LEDs. Works great.

Bet your light bill don't come down. Mine didn't.

Its hard to say if it will as I didn't use much electricity before. The only difference is I don't have to live in the dark. I must admit the light is wonderful.

We put in a Hardy outside wood burning water heater a few years ago and turned off our electric water and our light bill steady went up for the next 3 months.
Complained and told them what we had done and the next month our light bill cut in half but then steady went back up.

I put in a hot water on demand tank which saved the cost of having hot water on hand. Storing hot water for use is far more expensive than the hot water you actually use but my bill didn't go down because instead of taking a 5 minute shower I would shower for 10 minutes just because I could.

Our house is almost 100% led. Even the little night lights that she insists remain on 24 hrs a day. I found replacement led bulbs for them. I like the dimmable the best too. I have two led shop lights in my work area. I did the same at camp. The come on instantly and there is no flickering.

You can find just about any type of bulb simulated too. Warm glows to white reading light. We have them all.
