Iphones

Post by Sir Henry » Sat Jul 26, 2025 3:03 pm

I have a 13 mini and think it’s okay. Okay but not great. Its pushing four years and I’m thinking of replacing it. I want more battery life, a better camer and bigger screen. My phone is only 5% of its use. I watch a lot of videos and that’s real important. Any suggestions?

Recently upgraded to a16pro. Decent battery life, a considerably better camera than my 14. So far, so good.

Thanks for the comment I’m thinking of the 16 PRO or the PRO Max.

Gene, I had an iPhone SE (same as iPhone 6). It fit in my shirt pocket. I kept it for many years because of that. The battery wasn't lasting as much anymore. I wandered into a Verizon store and the gal there said she could give me unlimited data, a FREE brand new iPhone 16 and cut my monthly bill by 10 dollars. It sure was an upgrade for me. It has a better camera, long battery life and the phone operates as a hot spot for my WiFi only iPad. I would get an iPad for videos. That's what I do. Using the phone for a hotspot with unlimited data works out great with the iPad.

The one thing I dislike about iphones is when they send pictures or videos to others through the texting app. Apple strips the resolution down. What others receive is very grainy.

I had a 12 mini and the same problem with the battery. The tech I talked to said the mini was really bad about battery life.

I switched to the larger 16 Pro, too. Much better.

Go Pro Max if you want the biggest screen and best camera.

While were on the phone subject whatever works for the rest of ya but as far as Im concerned any of the big 3 carriers suck. Verizon is way to expensive and they all promise you the moon with free stuff and claim they will give you a phone and payoff yours ect. It's all entrapment as far as Im concerned they arent giving you nothin. It takes 3 or four years for them to give you a trade in amount for your phone all the while they are raising prices of the phone usage. There are other companies out there that have as good of coverage and their price is a heck of alot less. There rant over

I have a simple Galaxy AO1 that I use mostly as just a phone when I am out and around and use Verizon cause it was only service to get a signal down at my range property. I do use it for pictures and video at times if I don't have my Apple iPad with me. Seems to work fine for what I do. Still keep the land line thru Comcast as I don't want to be hunting around the house for my phone and having to leave a cell phone on all the time.

I bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max today. It cost $1,200 but they gave me $830 for my 13 mini. The phone will be mailed and I’ll take it in to be activated and turn in this 13.

I hope you enjoy the new phone Gene. Don't forget to get something to carry it around in. I have a belt pouch for mine. Helps keep it where I know where it is.

My new phone arrived today and this is my first post with it. I use my phone for anything a computer can do. The least used feature of it is making a phone call.

I got my new VA hearing aids today and now I can make phone calls with them through the IPhone. I can also listen to music in private. :D

I can’t believe how cheap this upgrade was. I got the most expensive phone they make and my bill will only go up $6 a month. I only paid $540 for my old phone and they allowed $830 trade in for it. Plus my plan when down $5 a month. Of course I did have to buy $92 of accessories.
