Fair, 77°F, Humidity 79%
Wind Speed S 6 mph
Barometer 29.95 in
Dewpoint 70°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 96.
South southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Nothing planned for today except this evening we will go into town for the
4th of July fireworks. Normally we would stay home but the VFW asked me to
participate in the opening ceremony for the fireworks, and the police department
gives us VIP parking right near the stage where it takes place. We can park there
all through the fireworks and then we're the first to get out to go home.

58 this morning with some very welcomed light rain. Sat out on the patio for a while and it sure felt like a camping morning with the nice temp and the light rain. (Yeah, if we need rain around here I go camping as it always rains on me  ). Not sure what the expected high is today as the local news hasn’t started yet but I expect a nice cool day.

Played golf yesterday for the first time in five weeks. After two weeks of Covid my energy level still isn’t back to normal and I was concerned how I would do. Walked the 18 holes (fairly flat course thankfully) and did fine. Happy to be out and active again.

[Plus another level 3 evacuation fire is burning north of where Dave 77 lives. Haven’t heard an update on that one yet.
And we need to get through tomorrow without any fireworks started fires. All fireworks are illegal here but they don't enforce it and you can buy all types at the Indian reservations. The hillsides are very dry as usual but people will be shooting off all kinds of aerials tomorrow night.
Yeah, we had several fires start yesterday and last night but thankfully the responders from the various agencies got them under control quickly. I was on a golf course in east Spokane (a low income area with many “questionable” people living there) and it was constant boom pop fizzle even tho fireworks are illegal. Driving home I drove past a brush fire that one of those fools ignited and it was burning pretty good in an area of homes. According to the news no structures were damaged.
