Amazing getting same weather same day a year later!
Was enjoying this afternoon in 73F temps chilling out on my deck and the exact same weather a year ago Feb. 4 2024 down at my range along the creek! Tomorrow totally different with high temps mid 30's with showers!

Cycles within cycles within cycles, and so on forever. Sometimes they reinforce each other, sometimes they cancel out, sometimes they create new cycles or eliminate existing ones. Let's start with planet earth for a simple example:
Cycle 1: Earth rotates giving us night and day, and ever changing weather.
Cycle 2: The moon orbits the earth giving approx monthly cycles, and all that derives from that and the interaction with Cycle 1
Cycle 3: The Earth/Moon system orbits the Sun giving us what we call years, and all that derives from that and the interactions with Cycles 1 & 2 and other bodies within our Solar System.
Cycle 4: Our solar system orbits in the Milky way galaxy along with billions of other star systems, and completes one orbit every 240 million Earth years giving us what we call a Galactic Year, and all that derives from that, and the interactions with cycles 1, 2, & 3, and other untold cycles within our galaxy and universe.
Enjoy the ride.

Things are not always as they seem. What is down, may be up. Or sideways.

“red is grey and yellow is white, we decide which is right!”
Gunny your cycles report is interesting but indeed mind boggling. I’ve always struggled with the immensity of space. I’ll just stay grounded here on earth and enjoy or not enjoy what passes by.
Love the images.

The immensity of space/time that we can perceive with our limited senses and technology is just the beginning. Ever heard of Dark Matter/Dark Energy? That's a real thing, if you care to google it.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 10:06 am“red is grey and yellow is white, we decide which is right!”

When you look at the Sun, you're actually looking back in time since it takes approx 8min and 20sec for light from the Sun to reach Earth. The same applies, but at longer times when you look at the stars in the sky. We have measured the time it takes for light to reach us from approx 13.4 billion light years away and say that is the size and age of our universe. But the universe is continuing to expand at the speed of light. So we really don't know what the boundaries of the universe are, if any; or what 'shape' it is. And if there is indeed a boundary, what lies beyond it? There's the real boggle. And then there's this complicating factor called "time dilation".

Is that a Moody Blues quote? Sounds like something from them.
