Huge New Year's tragedy in New Orleans.

Post by cooperhawk » Wed Jan 01, 2025 9:19 am

What a terrible way to begin the new year. 10 dead, 23 in critical condition,
many more in hospital and two police wounded.
How I do hope this is not something to portend things to come.
He deliberately tried to run down as many people as possible and then opened fire
on the police. They have also found at least one IED.
I'm curious and wondering what could motivate someone to do this. :(

Yep. Been watching the news about this since early this morning. Next police presser is scheduled for 11am Central time, and will likely be covered by every news outlet on the planet.

NEWSMAX is showing pictures of a white Ford F150 with some kind of black flag attached to the hitch and bullet holes in the rear window.

Monitoring it here too, so sad and what a horrible start to what many expect to be a great year.

Maybe, someone might start thinking seriously about locking the back door?

That attack and the one at Trump Center in Vegas were or had been in the U.S. Army. One in Vegas a current Green Beret!

From I gathered from the news, they both served in Afghanistan.
