Hunting by yourself...
Thought it's a pretty good one. New song by Luke Combs.

Re: Hunting by yourself...
I remember taking my oldest deer hunting with the family. He was 12 and carrying his grandad's 1920 30/30 Winchester. Now he is 45 and said he remembers that day like it was yesterday. The sad truth being always deployed I was unable to spend time with the family for most of my career. My youngest and my oldest visited their grandfather and went ice fishing and just hung around just doing stuff. Both sons went into the army the youngest got out and the oldest did 22 years. Him and I talk, and he also missed out on his kids growing up his daughter is 24 and son is 20. He has since retired and has a great job; we look back and sometimes ask ourselves was it worth it? Did we accomplish anything by leaving our families and sometimes not knowing where we were, or we were ok? My case I was drafted but was able to get into the USCG. My sons enlisted the youngest did not see any action however the oldest saw way too much. We asked each other would we do it all over again knowing what we know now. We both said yes! It was meant to be as GOD has his plans right wrong or indifferent. We both look back and discussed how we have may have touched the people that we have come across. Life just happens how we deal with it and get through it is the key.
