Last Sunday at the races

Post by bandit1250 » Thu Nov 10, 2016 4:13 pm

Last Sunday I went to the Stock/Super Stock drag races at Mason-Dixon in Hagerstown, Md. It was a nice day for the races and I had a good time even though my wife sat this out due to a sinus infection that had her feeling tired. There was a lot of race cars there and they are always fun to watch with the wheels in the air off the starting line. I took a few pictures to share with the members.
'73 Dodge Dart Sport and Chevy s-10

AMC Javelin and Mustang. Red light start means nothing during qualifying because each lane is timed separate.

'64 Plymouth Fury during qualifying. One pass this car was almost up on the rear bumper.

New model Dodge Challenger set up for the NHRA Factory Stock class

NHRA legal B/SA '63 Max-Wedge Dodge. This is a beautiful condition car. May be on of the straightest black cars I have seen.

Man you were up close and personal there. Great shots!
That black Dodge reminded me of the coolest car my Grandmother had.
She was literally the little old lady who never drove over 35 mph. She had a Coronet that was all black with red interior that a previous owner had setup for road racing. It was the only car I remember that she could feel running and didn't turn the key a second time after it was started.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)
