Anything that has AI should have Asimov's 3 laws of robotics built in.

Terminators and The Matrix are not that far-feched anymore. Who knows, maybe it's already happening.

As a side note Elon Musk's company Neuralink has won US approval for human trials of a brain implant that would allow direct human interface with AI.
I can see the possible benefits but there is definitely the potential for misuse in the long run.
