Keeping my fingers crossed that this trip even takes place now.
Forecast for this weekend is 25 knot winds and more than 7' swells to start the day

I guess with those conditions we may not even go out.
Dang, that’s’ too bad. Hope the weather takes a turn for the better. Wouldn’t want to be out in a smaller boat in those conditions.
Amazing turn of events.
The boat captain called today to explain that the weather was not going to be good for Sunday, but he would be willing to try if we wanted.
He then stated that he had had a last minute cancellation and he had an opening for tomorrow morning instead of Sunday.
Tomorrow mornings weather report looks ideal for a boat trip.
80° +/- and only a 7% chance of rain.
Winds minimal.

We didn't do too bad
Caught a slew of lake trout and had beautiful weather.
I brought home about 30# of trout.

I like trout just as much as salmon and you very rarely see fresh trout in the grocery stores. Local Safeway used to get in some smoked trout and it was excellent but haven't see it there in years.

Seems your trip was well timed. Weather today is windy and rainy with a cold front moving in. Congrats on your adventure.
