A welcome sign

Post by daytime dave » Sun Feb 12, 2023 5:08 pm

Mary and I took our granddaughter for a ride this morning. We were going to a seasonal store in a VERY rural community. The store was closed. As a backup, we went into the community center where they had a "general store". It was an eclectic type diner with area crafts and such for sale. It was a pretty cool place and they served awesome breakfast food. I had an idea it would be a good place when I saw the welcome sign on the door.......

Nice sign in New York, though it's not much of an advance compared with other states. In Missouri, your granddaughter would be welcomed pretty much everywhere carrying an AR15 over her shoulder, whether you were with her or not.

I recall Yakov Smirnoff, a Russian comedian, whose punchline to his American audience was, "I Love this Country". Seriously, what's not to love?

Saw one of those just like that at the local Jareds Jewelry store. Problem is it was red needless to say my business was taken elsewhere.

Several years ago a new restaurant named Dueling Irons opened up in Post Falls Idaho. They too have the exact green sign at their door and when they were doing the grand opening they offered 10% off anyone who was open carrying. Also notice the sign in the picture below, the Dueling Irons name is a play on the old duels from back in the day only these irons are skillets.

Oh, the food is awesome, they have a ground beef steak and eggs that’s to “die” for. Pun intended.

Glad to see some don't bow down to the woke. LOL.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
