Flash from 22 mag

Post by Cofisher » Sun Feb 05, 2023 10:08 pm

I drove out into the country a few miles this evening. Hoping to see the comet. Too many clouds. So, I got out my Kel-Tec 22 mag. Popped off about 10 rounds, just to see the flash. It was amazing.

This is an interesting pistol. Very light. It holds 30 in the mag. I've not gotten proficient with it yet. Planning on putting a reflex sight on it. Hoping that will allow better sight work.

Kel Tek makes some intriguing firearms. I don't plan on it, but the folding carbine may be in my future.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Glad to see others that appreciate the .22 Mag.
I have a Remington #597 Rifle that I got a Voltsquartsen extractor and solved my FTF and FTE probs. I also got some new springs for it.

They should have made the PMR30 with a threaded barrel for a flash hider/suppressor, imho. :)

Ruger American threaded barrel with a Burris 4.5 x 14 x 42 AO scope on it. It shoots very well with Remington 33gr and Norma 40 gr HP.

CZ 512 here. Like Al mentioned, mine really likes the Remington 33 gr accu-tips.

Try some Norma Hatch if you get a chance. They did as good as the Remington in mine. I almost bought a 512 but decided on the bolt instead.

I like my Kel Tec 22 mag so much I bought my daughter one. She really enjoys taking that to the range, it's easy for her to handle.

The 22 mag is an under rated caliber for sure. I only have one rifle chambered in it, but there are a pair of single-sixes and two Heritage revolvers with mag cylinders. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here's mine with it's a twin in 22lr, and one of the ss's.
Marlin 25 N 22lr on top and the 25 NM 2mag on the bottom.
