I was just outside at 5:45 am with the young dog in the snow and thinking “man, I can’t wait for spring”!

We got our first snow...well heavy flurries.... this morning of the season. Supposed to move out by around 10:30 AM. Yes ready for Spring which it will feel like next week being in 50's -60's.

That varmint back in Pennsylvania is predicting another six weeks of winter. Thankfully we have a local guy with pet goundhogs who runs his own prediction. It’s very cloudy today so I’m thinking his report will be on the more positive side. I’ll follow up with the results once he posts them on his site.

My Weimaraners would eviscerate any rodent that popped out of the ground here, so there would be no time to look for shadows🤣

That groundhog lies all the time. Of course he sees his shadow, they have so many lights on him that he has to.

Here’s a link to the local guy with the groundhogs. He does a weather report daily on his own web site and also for decades has done a morning drive traffic and weather report on the local AM radio talk channel. He is a good friend of my next door neighbor and funny after listening to him for years on the radio I met him.

Blue skies here also, #2 grandson left around lunch.
Loaded up the garbage and took it to the dump.
Back home for a sandwich, think I'll ride over and check on the oldest daughter.

We just came back from lunch and grocery shopping. Now I have to plow the neighbors driveway. They've been gone for
a couple of weeks and I didn't plow to discourage anyone from driving in, but they're coming home tomorrow from
Costa Rica so I'll get it done this afternoon. Now they can take over feeding the turkeys while we go south for six weeks. :D
